100 Women in Finance (100WF), a global finance industry network, has announced that its 2022 Global FundWomen Week Conference (GFWW), the largest global gathering of asset allocators and female investment managers, will be held virtually from 31 October to 4 November, 2022.
GFWW is part of 100WF’s FundWomen initiative, promoting and empowering female investment professionals by facilitating stronger female networks within the institutional investment community and increasing allocation to female managers.
As it has over the years, the capital introduction-focused conference will include virtual 1:1 meetings between leading female fund managers and allocators, as well as thought leadership content
Deutsche Börse Group is expanding its offering in the data services space by acquiring European fund data specialist Kneip Communication SA.
The companies have reached an agreement through which Deutsche Börse will acquire 100 per cent of the Luxembourg-based fund data manager. Further terms of the transaction, which is expected to close by age end of March, have not been disclosed.

CarbonX, an Indonesian high impact Carbon asset developer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the world’s first fully digital carbon exchange, AirCarbon Exchange (ACX) to jointly develop a carbon marketplace in Indonesia.
Director of CarbonX, Dessi Yuliana says that the partnership will provide Indonesian carbon project developers with a domestic carbon market linked to ACX’s international client order book. Also, the carbon marketplace will allow the growing Indonesian carbon market to rapidly scale up.
Criptonite Asset Management SA is to act as distributor for the new Wave Financial Non Fungible Fund (NFF) in Switzerland.
Wave is an SEC regulated digital asset investment fund manager based in Los Angeles.
Following the launch of the NFT fund in December 2021, Wave Financial, which manages over USD1 billion across its digital asset fund, institutional and wealth management products, has seen unprecedented demand globally attracting investment over USD20 million from qualified investors already. New York has held onto the top position in the latest edition of the Global Financial Centres Index published by Z/Yen Group, and has now been in top spot for for three years.
London remained in second place, but dropped 14 points in the ratings.

Disappointing results at Texas-based petrochemicals company Trecora Resources have promoted activist hedge funds Ortelius Advisors, to pen an open latter to investors, according to a report by Opalesque.
The letter also claims that Trecora has refused to consider a a series of proposals and director candidates put forward by Ortelius, something Trecor has denied.
Ortelius is currently the the company’s largest shareholder with an 11.3 percent holding of the company’s outstanding common stock.
