Orolia has launched the VelaSync 1232 high speed, low-latency time server that is specifically designed for high frequency financial trading.
This ultra-accurate solution can also be equipped with Orolia’s Resilient PNT technology suite to provide additional data security and reliability, while protecting against GPS spoofing and jamming.
Orolla says the combination of VelaSync 1232’s highly optimised timing protocols and management functions, together with the company’s proven, precise GPS timing technology and commodity hardware, offers exceptional performance that will keep pace with today’s evolving network infrastructures.
The global, highly regulated financial services industry requires high-speed, accurate time stamping to execute trades within hundreds of nanoseconds. VelaSync 1232 not only meets that standard, it also includes multiple GNSS constellation support for optimal accuracy and resiliency at no extra charge.

For additional security, VelaSync 1232 may be configured to include an alternative, secure satellite signal called Satellite Time and Location (STL) through the Iridium satellite constellation. With STL, financial customers may augment their existing GPS signals or cut the cord altogether with this indoor solution built to serve high speed trading needs, with no roof or outdoor access required.
VelaSync 1232 also includes an option to integrate Orolia’s popular BroadShield for further protection against jamming and spoofing. BroadShield includes more than 75 jamming and spoofing detection algorithms to identify anomalies in the GPS signal, such as unintentional environmental interference or malicious attacks that can cripple financial services systems.
