Metropolitan Partners Group (Metropolitan), a private credit fund manager based in New York that provides short-term, senior-secured, collateralised loans to small and mid-sized, non-sponsored businesses, has appointed Adam Goodfriend as a Managing Director in the firm’s investment team.
This is the sixth new hire the firm has made in the last year as Metropolitan has expanded its team to meet the growing demand for private credit investments.
In his new role, Goodfriend is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investments at Metropolitan.

Family office-backed alternative asset manager Trium Capital has attracted hedge fund manager Peter Kisler to manage his global macro hedge fund. Kisler has managed the fund since its inception a decade ago. He joined Trium in March 2021 and the Cayman fund will be renamed the Trium Larissa Global Macro Fund.
Kisler joins from North Asset Management, where he managed his strategy since its inception in April 2011. Prior to this, Kisler built up more than a decade of experience trading and managing fixed income and FX instruments. Kisler was a managing director at Swiss Re Group, London, from
Blockchain-based derivatives trading platform CloseCross has expanded its management team with the appointment of Joseph Portelli as its first chairman.
Currently Chairman at the Malta Stock Exchange, he brings more than 35-years’ experience of the financial services industry to the fintech company which is planning to launch its trading platform in the first half of this year.

Brian T Daly, an adviser to hedge fund managers and private equity fund sponsors, has joined Akin Gump as a partner in the firm’s investment management practice in New York.
Daly comes to Akin Gump from Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he was a partner.

Specialist fixed income manager, BlueBay Asset Management (BlueBay), has appointed Tom Mowl as a Portfolio Manager within its Structured Credit and CLO Management team.
Based in London, Tom reports to Sid Chhabra, Head of Structured Credit and CLO Management and will be focusing on investing in US and European Structured Credit securities across the capital structure.
