ABN AMRO Clearing has recruited Noel Singh for the new role of FX product manager, responsible for developing international expansion opportunities for the firm’s currency offering. HSBC has appointed Tony McDonnell as managing director for HSBC Securities Services (Ireland) Limited (HSSI). McDonnell will be responsible for running the HSS operation in Ireland and growing its book of business.   He will report to Arjun Bambawale, head of HSBC Securities Services, Europe.   McDonnell was previously regional head of asset managers – Europe and North America, sales and business development, HSBC Securities Services where he developed and implemented sector strategy and plans for HSS across all products and solutions.   McDonnell joined HSBC Ireland in 2002, becoming head of business development for HSSI in 2007, before taking
Lyxor Asset Management has appointed Kunjal Shah as senior investment professional. Shah will be based in New York and will be in charge of locally supervising the portfolio management and hedge fund research teams.   He brings 14 years of experience in hedge fund manager selection, due diligence and monitoring to his role at Lyxor.    Shah joins Lyxor from Arden Asset Management, where he was partner and managing director. He was responsible for manager selection, due diligence and developing customised investment guidelines for Arden’s credit and multi strategy managed accounts.     Previously, Shah was a director and co-head of
361 Capital, an asset management firm specialising in liquid alternative mutual funds, has appointed Clifford Stanton as director of portfolio solutions and product management. Stanton joins 361 Capital from Envestnet where he was the chief research officer, co-chairing Envestnet’s investment committee and managing the firm’s research department and asset allocation product development.   As a member of the management team, Stanton will lead 361 Capital’s portfolio solutions group, providing asset allocation guidance, fund analysis and portfolio research to the firm’s investment advisor clients and prospects. He will also lead the firm’s alternative investments education, market research and product development efforts.
Baymarkets AB, the over-the-counter derivatives, fixed income and commodities market systems provider, has appointed Stu Taylor, chief executive of Algomi, as a non-executive director.
