Investcorp, a provider and manager of alternative investment products, has appointed Rebecca Hellerstein as a managing director in the firm’s hedge fund business in a newly created role as a cross asset strategist.
Hellerstein will have primary responsibility for fundamental cross asset and alternative risk factors research. She will also focus on enhancing Investcorp’s capabilities in liquid alternative strategies.
Hellerstein will be a member of the Hedge Funds Strategic Outlook and Investment Committees and will report directly to Lionel Erdely, head and chief investment officer of hedge funds.

Saxo Capital Markets UK (SCML), the UK subsidiary of Saxo Bank A/S, has appointed Anthony Belchambers, former chief executive of the Futures & Options Association, as a non-executive director.
Belchambers joins from FIA Europe, formerly the Futures & Options Association, which he founded in 1992 and where he was chief executive until March 2014. He remains a special adviser to FIA Europe.
During his time at the association, Belchambers founded and led many cross-industry initiatives and groups, including MiFID Connect, the Joint Association Financial Transaction Tax Group, the Transatlantic Coalition on Financial Regulation and, more recently, the International Cross-Border Regulation
State Street Corporation has appointed Bob Keogh as head of alternative investment solutions (AIS) for the Asia Pacific region.
Based in Hong Kong, Keogh will assume responsibility for the hedge fund, private equity and real estate businesses in Asia Pacific.
He has more than two decades of experience in financial services, the last 14 of which have been in the hedge fund industry. He was previously senior managing director for State Street’s hedge fund servicing business based in Europe.
Keogh joined State Street in 2012 from Goldman Sachs as part of State Street’s acquisition of Goldman Sachs Administration
AIMA Canada, the national group of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) in Canada, has appointed its board for 2014-2016.
Michael Burns assumes the role of chair, succeeding Gary Ostoich, a founding member of AIMA Canada who has served as chair since 2009.

Common Sense Investment Management (CSIM), an independent, privately-held investment manager, has appointed Marc Lorin as president.
Prior to joining Common Sense, Lorin was the deputy head of origination and structuring in the alternative investment solutions team at Newedge USA, a division of Société Générale.
In this role, Lorin and his team were responsible for the sales approach to hedge fund managers and institutional investors such as family offices, sovereign wealth funds, managed account platforms, pension funds, and fund of hedge funds.
Lorin started his career with Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1989 on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile
Citi has appointed Chris Cox as the securities services head for EMEA, leading both investor services and direct custody and clearing (DCC) franchises.
He will be based in London and report to Okan Pekin, Lee Waite and Leo Arduini.
Cox brings a breadth of cross-business and geographic experience to this role. His key priorities will be to build profitability, grow client penetration and improve organizational efficiency for securities services in EMEA.
Cox joined Citi in 1991 in London and has performed various roles in investment banking, debt capital markets and MTN trading. He moved to Asia in 1997
SmartStream Technologies has hired Tom Dalglish to manage transformation projects for post-trade processing and data management services for global clients.
Initially he will be responsible for managing the back-office transformation programme with one of Europe's largest banks.
Dalglish has over 20 years of experience in the industry and is a recognised expert in databases, data strategies and reference data. Prior to joining SmartStream, he was the global head of transformation for iGATE, where he designed and deployed a major data utility strategy for the firm. Previous to this he worked for UBS as chief technology officer for global data services running
PrimeOne Solutions, a division of CoreOne Technologies, has appointed Thomas Benevento as global head of synthetic equities, reporting to EJ Liotta, head of PrimeOne Solutions.
Benevento will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities within the prime business, as the company embarks on its next phase of expansion within the ever-changing prime finance industry.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has promoted five staff members to officer positions.
The promotions were approved at this month’s board of directors meeting.
Jim Enstrom was named vice president and chief audit executive. He will continue to direct CBOE’s internal audit programmes as head of CBOE’s internal audit function. Enstrom joined CBOE in 2009.
Lita Frazier was named vice president, government relations. She will continue to serve as CBOE’s voice in Washington, leading CBOE’s government relations efforts at the federal, state and local levels. Frazier joined CBOE in 2006.
