Neuberger Berman Group has expanded its global consultant relations team with the appointment of four senior professionals.
The new recruits are:
Rhoni Wiswall, managing director, US West Coast coverage. Wiswall previously served as head of consultant relations at Crestline Investors.
Dimitri Stathopoulos, managing director, US Midwest coverage. Stathopoulos previously served as global head of consultant relations at Nuveen Investments.
Peter Andjelkovich, vice president, US Midwest coverage. Before joining Neuberger Berman, Andjelkovich served as a consultant relations professional at Ariel Investments.
Jolie Cornelius, senior vice president, UK coverage. Before joining Neuberger Berman Cornelius served as an investor
QuantX Management has hired two hedge fund veterans to strengthen its core investment and operational team: Alexander Masotti as president and chief operating officer and Robert Parauda as chief investment officer.
Both Masotti and Parauda join QuantX from institutional asset management firms.
Masotti joins QuantX having performed a variety of leadership roles in operational, legal, compliance, and investor relations at two multi-billion dollar asset management firms. One was a European based quantitative hedge fund, the other, Copper River Management, was a short-biased equity hedge fund. He was most recently chief operating officer at Park City Capital, an emerging long/short equity
Abacus Group, a provider of hosted IT solutions for hedge funds and private equity funds, has appointed Brian Lozada as director of information security.
Based in New York, Lozada will report to Viktor Tadijanovic, chief technology officer of Abacus Group.
Lozada brings over 14 years’ experience in information security and will be responsible for the development of current and new Abacus security solutions that help financial institutions to protect their enterprise systems, applications and data from cyber intrusions.
Most recently, he was the director of information security at Condé Nast, where he was responsible for overseeing the security
Hedge fund law firm Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen has appointed Joseph Iskowitz as a partner in the hedge fund practice.
He previously was a partner in the New York office of Katten Muchin Rosenman.
Iskowitz focuses his practice on the formation and structuring of domestic and offshore investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds, and advises funds on operational, securities, corporate and compliance issues. He also represents fund managers, investors and third-party marketers of private investment pools.

Aviate Global, the institutional equity brokerage, has returned to Asia with offices in Hong Kong and Sydney now serving the region.
Douglas Morton, James Santo, Lachlin Miller and Gerard Walsh join the brokerage firm, following the recent hires of Asia managing partners Robert Buckley (Hong Kong) and Robert Arnott (Sydney).

UMB Fund Services (UMBFS) has appointed a president and chief operating officer following the recent retirement of chief executive officer John Zader.
Tony Fischer has been promoted to president and Maureen Quill has been promoted to chief operating officer.
Fischer was previously executive vice president of business development at UMBFS. He has been with the company since 2008 and in the fund industry since 1983. His responsibilities include overall organisational leadership, strategic development, fiscal management and business development. He will report to Peter deSilva, chairman of UMB Fund Services.

Cees Vermaas, chief executive of Euronext Amsterdam and member of the managing board of Euronext, has resigned and will step down from his position immediately.
His replacement will be announced once Euronext has received approval from the regulators.
Jos Dijsselhof, chief operating officer of Euronext, based in Amsterdam, will be acting CEO of Euronext Amsterdam to ensure the smooth running of the business, until such time as the replacement is announced.
Redline Trading Solutions, a provider of ultra-low latency market data and order execution systems, has appointed Richard J Harrington to the firm’s board of directors.
Harrington served as president and chief executive officer of The Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters Corporation) from 1997 to 2008.
He is founder and chairman of the Boston-based venture capital firm The Cue Ball Group. Harrington also serves on the board of directors of two publicly held corporations.

Fiona Le Poidevin has resigned as chief executive of Guernsey Finance, the promotional agency for the island’s finance industry internationally, to head up the Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE).
She will leave in early 2015 to become chief executive at the CISE, which is responsible for the day to day administration and marking operations of the new exchange.
CISE is the parent company of the Channel Islands Securities Exchange Authority (CISEA), which is responsible for operating and regulating the exchange.

Schroders has appointed two commodity experts, James Luke and Dravasp Jhabvala, to further strengthen its commodities team.
Luke joins the London-based team, headed by Geoff Blanning, as commodity fund manager/ metals analyst and Jhabvala as commodity quantitative analyst.
Luke was previously co-head of metals research at JP Morgan. He has nine years’ of experience within commodities in London and Hong Kong.
Jhabvala joins Schroders from Palaedino Group in Geneva where he specialised in developing investment strategies for commodities. Dravasp will work on enhancing Schroders’ quantitative models for commodities.
