Tristan Faber has joined Jain Global in London as the hedge fund’s Head of Platform, having spent two years leading the core quantitative platform for Point72’s macro team, according to a report by eFinancialCareers.
Faber and Jain’s founder, Bobby Jain, previously worked together at Credit Suisse. Faber began his career there in 2009 as a PhD graduate quant strategist and advanced to head the investor products quantitative strategies before Jain’s departure. Faber later led the bank’s enterprise data and analytics quant platform.
Jain’s full performance figures for 2024 have not been released yet, but the fund had a challenging start to the year. It began trading in July and reportedly ended the month down 0.65%, despite raising $5.3bn for its debut. By November, it was reported that Jain was up only 0.2%.
