Point72’s Head of Digital Assets Technology Terence Schofield has become the latest member of the $33.2bn multi strategy hedge fund firm’s crypto team to part company with the business, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites a person familiar with the matter as confirming Schofield’s departure, just 18 months after he joined from crypto asset manager Pantera Capital, where he served as Chief Technology Officer.
Schofield’s exit follows that of Michael Ashby last November. At Point72, Ashby served as Head of Digital Assets Strategic Implementation and was previously Chief Operating Officer at Meraki Global Advisors.
