Real-time NAV can improves transparency in the hedge fund industry and take investor satisfaction onto a new plane, argues Bala Nagendra Betha, a hedge fund data modelling specialist and relational database management system expert with the technology architecture group of India’s Satyam Computer Services.
A real-time environment, he says, would allow the industry to benefit in areas including equalisation, partnership allocation and portfolio management, as well as from the elimination of lock-ins.
