Alphakinetic, a fund management software provider to the investment management industry, has signed four clients since coming out of beta in 2012.
Alphakinetic’s clients are using its Glide Fund Manager platform and associated cloud-based products as part of their fund management practices.
Alphakinetic provides flexible and robust fund management software to the investment management industry. The flagship cloud-based Glide platform is used by cross-asset hedge funds, wealth managers and family offices situated across Europe. Alphakinetic also offers Glide Cloud products that allow a developer to create and access financial data content in the cloud via a simple interface.
Post-beta client wins signal significant uptake for the Alphakinetic Glide Fund Manager Platform and associated cloud products. Glide Fund Manager’s inception started with two clients whilst in beta mode in 2010, followed by a succession of four client wins to date including Serone Capital, a Rome-based risk manager, a London wealth manager, and LPR Consulting.
Serone Capital Management, a UK-based specialist credit asset manager with experience in the European and US credit markets, is currently using Alphakinetic’s Glide Fund Manager and Glide Developer. Glide Developer is a tool for administrators or experienced system users who will be customising and extending the Glide Fund Manger platform.
LPR Consulting (LPRC) specialises in fund management consulting, with a particular expertise in compliance, financial accounting, middle office and information technology. LPRC is providing middle office services to several equity and futures funds by using Glide Fund Manager for position keeping, portfolio management and shadow net asset value tracking. The benefit of Glide for LPRC is that it provides consistent core functionality across all of their clients, simple interfaces and import tools for integration with each client.
"Glide is perfect for our needs, in that it allowed us flexibility within the core platform immediately. Alphakinetic is therefore well ahead of its peers in terms of usability and functionality. Serone Capital Management sees this platform as a clear operational opportunity, as the extendable platform has enormous proficiencies for us," says Adrian King, chief operations officer, Serone Capital Management.
Jon Hodges, co-founder of Alphakinetic, says: "Alphakinetic’s post-beta success is particularly gratifying as this displays to us that we are getting it right early on. It is fantastic verification that bespoke cloud-based systems such as ours are the only way forward for the wider fund industry."
