GK8, an institutional-grade self-managed digital asset custody platform with DeFi, staking, NFT, and tokenisation support, has onboarded four new clients in tiger past few weeks.
GK8’s solution is set to power the digital asset services of SolidBlock, a real estate tokenisation service and marketplace, JIC Bank, a licensed international bank headquartered in Puerto Rico, 2nd Market, a Brazilian digital assets exchange, and Proxibit, an Israeli cryptocurrency trading platform.
GK8 has also signed a new long-term agreement extending its partnership with eToro, the global social investing network.
In addition, GK8 is expanding its operations in the US and the UK
Global cryptocurrency exchange FTX Trading Limited (FTX) has established FTX Europe, extending its presence into Europe and the Middle East.
The Company has secured the approval from the Cyprus Financial Market Regulator CySEC through its ftx.com/eu domain.
FTX Europe will now start offering FTX’s products and services to European clients via a licensed investment firm with passportable licenses across the European economic area. Users in these regions will be able to trade a variety of cryptocurrency products powered by FTX’s industry-leading trading technology and digital asset offerings.

Xpansiv, a global marketplace for ESG commodities, is to acquire a 100 per cent ownership stake in APX, Inc, a provider of registry infrastructure for energy and environmental markets.
Upon receipt of regulatory approvals, Xpansiv will initially acquire a 20 per cent minority ownership interest in APX and is expected to acquire the remaining stake later this year.

Derivatives marketplace CME Group is to launch options on Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether futures on 28 March, pending regulatory review.
The new Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether options contracts will be one-tenth of their respective underlying tokens in size and will offer a wide range of market participants – from institutions to sophisticated, active, individual traders – more ways to manage their exposure to the top two cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation.

iCapital, a global fintech platform providing access and efficiency in alternative investing for the asset and wealth management industries, has acquired Bank of Singapore’s in-house private market feeder fund platform.
With the deal, iCapital takes over the management and operation of the bank’s private market feeder funds while Bank of Singapore retains client servicing responsibilities.
Following the close of the transaction, iCapital services approximately USD114 billion in global private assets, of which more than USD27 billion are from international investors (non-US Domestic), across more than 940 funds.

The first auctions on NOVA have now been held, with Ravenscroft (CI) Limited, a Trading Member of TISE, facilitating the order book entries for auctions in the TISE listed securities of 14 issuers.
The auction model is designed to benefit market participants through the concentration of liquidity into specific events. Auctions can be held at an issuer’s discretion, eg daily, weekly, monthly, providing maximum flexibility.

Digital asset prime dealer SFOX has now matched, executed, and cleared the first-ever crypto non-deliverable forward (NDF) contract between B2C2 and an undisclosed financial institution over its multi-dealer network.
This milestone for the cryptocurrency market, which cleared on Friday, 4 Feb, 2022, establishes SFOX as the first platform to intermediate between a buyer and a seller in the crypto NDF market as well as the first multi-dealer platform to execute an NDF trade.
