Global regulation has developed like a slow growing but increasingly powerful storm system over the last five years. Broker AxiTrader has launched extra tight spreads on cash contracts for differences (CFDs), offering what it says is one of the most competitive pricing structures in the market. Quantile Technologies (Quantile) has completed the world’s first live multilateral counterparty risk reduction run in the OTC equity derivative markets. The new service reduces exposure using risk-reducing trades generated from proprietary optimisation technology. Asia Pacific Exchange (APEX) is to launch a new and customised clearing system for OTC and exchange-traded markets, delivered by Cinnober. Based on TRADExpress RealTime Clearing, APEX’s new derivatives marketplace will aim to provide a complete end-to-end solution for the post-trade value chain.   This follows the news that APEX has received licenses from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to operate a derivatives exchange and clearinghouse. OANDA has partnered with Dell Boomi, a provider of cloud integration and workflow automation software, to offer the OANDA Exchange Rates API Connector to all Dell Boomi customers.
