The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) has issued an order of exemption from registration as a derivatives clearing organisation (DCO) to ASX Clear (Futures) Pty Limited (ASX).  The order is the first issued by the Commission based on its authority under Section 5b(h) of the Commodity Exchange Act.   This provision permits the Commission to exempt a clearing organisation from DCO registration for the clearing of swaps to the extent that the Commission determines that such clearing organisation is subject to comparable, comprehensive supervision by appropriate government authorities in the clearing organisation’s home country. Subject to the terms and conditions
Transaction Network Services (TNS) has established a new connection into the co-location service of JPX, Japan’s main bourse. Under the agreement, TNS is offering high speed, reliable, cost-effective connectivity services to the JPX Co-location Service via its secure link into the arrownet-Global Service, an ultra-low latency end-to-end network service enabling market participants to connect directly from overseas markets into JPX’s co-location facility under a single contract. Instinet Europe has received FCA authorisation as a Payment Institution, allowing the firm to offer a safeguarded cash management and payment service solution to clients looking to purchase investment research through ‘hard dollar’ research payments. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has issued a time-limited no-action letter that extends relief to swap dealers (SDs) registered with the Commission that are established under the laws of jurisdictions other than the United States (Non-US SDs) from certain transaction-level requirements under the Commodity Exchange Act. Subject to the limitations stated in the letter, the relief is until the earlier of September 30, 2016 or the effective date of any Commission action with respect to matters addressed by a DSIO Advisory issued 14 November, 2013 (DSIO Advisory). The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and C2 Options Exchange (C2) will list options on Shake Shack, Inc (ticker symbol: SHAK) beginning Friday, 14 August, 2015. Shake Shack, founded in 2004, owns, operates and licenses Shake Shack restaurants (called Shacks) in the United States, Europe and Asia. Shacks are modern-day “roadside” burger stands offering hamburgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, beer and wine.
The first trades in GMEX’s Euro-denominated IRS Constant Maturity Future (IRS CMF) have been successfully executed, cleared and settled. This new product has been available for the electronic arranging of transactions on GMEX’s platform with trade confirmation and clearing on Eurex since 7 August 2015.

The EU Commission has confirmed its continued endorsement of Guernsey as a cooperative jurisdiction following a meeting between officials in Brussels.
