The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) has officially launched JSE Eris Interest Rate Swap (IRS) Futures, which will be based on the Johannesburg Interbank Agreed Rate (JIBAR) and denominated in South African Rand (ZAR). The product will follow the standard South African swap market conventions while using the Eris MethodologyTM, allowing the contracts to replicate the cash flows of over the counter (OTC) swaps. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has issued Orders of Registration to ICE Futures Canada (ICEFC), a Foreign Board of Trade located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Montréal Exchange (MX), a Foreign Board of Trade located in Montréal, Québec, Canada.  Under their respective Orders, ICEFC and MX are permitted to provide their identified members or other participants located in the US with direct access to their electronic order entry and trade matching system.   The Commission issued the Orders in accordance with Part 48 of the Commission’s regulations, which provides that such Orders may be issued to a foreign

Chicago-based futures brokerage and clearing firm RJ O'Brien & Associates’ (RJO) London affiliate RJ O'Brien Limited is now live on the London Metal Exchange (LME) following its July 23 approval as a Category 2 clearing member.
