TriOptima has worked with industry participants to implement a triReduce compression methodology for Index Tranche trades with non-standard coupons, known as “legacy” trades as well as the more recent Index Tranche trades with standard coupons.
triReduce compression cycles eliminated 25 per cent or EUR35.9bn of the European-based ITraxx and 56 per cent or USD189.6bn of US CDX Index Tranche legacy notionals.
Total notionals eliminated in the triReduce index tranche cycles were EUR80.4bn and USD281.3bn including trades with standardized and non-standardized coupons.

Deutsche Börse is improving trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by reorienting the trading venue and launching a new quality guarantee for trading from 1 November.
In addition, all structured products will be traded under the Frankfurt Stock Exchange brand.
From Friday, investors will receive a quality guarantee when executing German, European and US blue chips, as well as ETFs. This guarantee ensures that investors can buy or sell at a price equivalent to that on the respective reference market or better. The guarantee applies to all orders up to a volume of EUR7,500.

Calastone and Barclays have gone live with the market's first-ever net settlement service as Smith & Williamson and Capita Asset Services select the solution for their automated settlement of funds.
Both parties have been using Calastone’s managed net settlement service since 2011, which is now underpinned by Barclays, enabling settlement finality through its centralised market cash clearing facility.
Since Calastone and Barclays announced their intention to launch the first full market net settlement service solely designed for the funds industry, they have both been working with key industry participants to finalise the design and delivery.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced an anticipated publication schedule for reports delayed by the recent US government shutdown.
The CFTC will begin issuing its weekly Commitments of Traders (COT) reports on a rolling basis as soon as they are ready – with the first report being published on 25 October. If not for the shutdown, this report would have been published on 4 October.
The CFTC expects to release two more of the delayed COT reports during the week of 28 October and at least two more of the delayed COT reports during the week
