TABB Group has promoted Matt Simon to principal, head of futures research for the capital markets research and consulting firm’s expanding Research Alliance Derivatives practice.
The promotion will be formally announced today at the firm’s second annual derivatives conference, Derivatives 2014: A Market in Transition at the W Chicago Center in downtown Chicago, where he will conduct a special “armchair” conversation with Michael Harris, president of Campbell & Company.
CFTC commissioner Scott O’Malia is the event’s keynote speaker.
“Matt consistently has shown that he is one of the most respected analysts in capital markets,” says Bob Iati, a TABB partner, global head of consulting and co-director of research. “Under his direction, our futures research will continue to strive for being the best in the financial industry as Matt assumes an even more substantial role in growing our presence in the exchange-traded derivatives markets.”
Simon has over 13 years of experience in capital markets. He was promoted to senior analyst in 2012 after joining TABB in November 2005 as a research analyst.
Previously he spent four years with T. Rowe Price Associates at its corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland, where he worked with senior portfolio managers, institutional clients and internal staff in operations, trading and compliance.
