Transaction Network Services has upgraded its TNS Data Usage Optimizer (DUO) with a new interactive customer portal, giving buy-side and sell-side firms on-demand tools to manage market data subscriptions and reduce unnecessary spend.
Market data represents one of the largest operational expenses for banks and asset managers, yet tracking and optimising usage has long been a challenge. The DUO portal converts complex vendor entitlement files into an actionable dashboard, enabling data managers and trading desk heads to identify unused services and eliminate excess costs. TNS highlighted that one global bank was able to save $60,000 per month by pinpointing redundant data feeds using the system.
The second release of DUO offers a centralised, global view of market data expenses and advanced analytics, allowing users to filter by user, location, or data feed. Firms can generate custom reports to create actionable cost-reduction plans instantly.
