Veteran trading executive Brian Williamson has joined UBS Group’s US execution hub, which provides a suite of services to help hedge funds and asset managers reduce the costs of running an in-house trading desk, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites a staff memo seen by Bloomberg as confirming that Williamson, who most recently served as Head of Sales at trading firm Luminex, has joined UBS as an Executive Director, Sales and Relationship Manager.
Williamson’s 30-year career also includes a spell as a Senior Global Relationship Manager at Liquidnet, and over 15 years at the Boston Company, including serving as a Vice President, Micro and Small Cap Growth Equity Trader.
Writing in the memo, Jonathan Slavin, managing director for UBS’s execution hub in the Americas, said: “Brian will be dedicated to outsourced sales solutions and focused on accelerating our distribution efforts.”
