US hedge fund Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is continuing its recruitment drive for staff at its London offices according to a report by eFinancialCareers.
The $13 billion manager set up its London operation in 2019 and earlier this month made a key addition to the team with the appointment of Niamh Taylor, a managing director in prime and alternative sales at JPMorgan, as its head of EMEA. The report says that one of Taylor’s main tasks is to oversee operations and recruitment across Europe.
A recently filed report with Companies House reveals that Schonfeld Strategic Advisors UK added 21 people in London in 2021, a 48 per cent increase on the previous year, and recruitment has continued this year with the addition of equities analysts, traders and technology staff.
New recruits in 2022 include Alex Brailescu, a consumer-focused equities analyst from Citadel, and Ray Lin, an equities trader from UBS.
