BUMP Network has appointed hedge fund manager Gregg Parise as its new president and chief financial officer.
In his dual roles, Parise (pictured) will continue to build value in the company and manage its team and operations.
Parise will report directly to Mitch Thrower, the chief executive and chairman of BUMP Network.
Parise has 20 years of portfolio management and financial market experience. He has spent the last 12 years as the founder and portfolio manager of various long/short equity hedge funds, including LINC Asset Management, Calimar Capital and Dorado Capital Management.
Parise began his career at the 1992 at Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco.
Parise says: "After investing for 20 years of my life as a passive outside investor, this may be my ultimate investment… the decision to go internal as an active entrepreneur. My investment career focused predominantly on public growth equities. Working with an entrepreneurial venture like BUMP Network is quite different. It is exciting in that each day presents endless variables."
