Jersey Finance has appointed Robert Christensen as the new chairman of its board in succession to Jonathan White.
Christensen, who has over 35 years of experience in trust and company management services within Jersey, has been the managing director of Volaw Group since 1988, having been a founding director of Volaw in 1982.
He was instrumental in the establishment of Jersey Finance and served as a non-executive director for Jersey Finance from 2000 until 2008.

Private financial cloud provider Options has completed the expansion of its hosting platform into the NYSE, NYSE MKT, Arca, Arca Options and Amex Options exchange colocation facility in Mahwah.
This latest expansion will allow Options customers to leverage exchange colocation services, using a single provider, for every lit and dark equity and options market in the US.
Options’ Mahwah hosting is underpinned by the firm’s Velocity platform, the IaaS provider’s ultra-low latency market data, connectivity and application hosting service, which will see the firm allow quantitative trading and market making operations to deploy the most latency sensitive trading strategies
The hedge fund industry took in USD7.7 billion, or 0.3 per cent of assets, in June, down from USD19.1 billion (0.8 per cent of assets) in May, according to BarclayHedge and TrimTabs.
“First half inflows to hedge funds this year totalled USD82.5 billion (3.8 per cent of assets), the most since 2007,” says Sol Waksman, president and founder of BarclayHedge.
By comparison, the industry took in USD26.8 billion (1.5 per cent of assets) in the first half of 2013.

As a Certified Public Accountant since 2004, Wan has over 12 years of experience in accounting and mergers and acquisitions consulting.
Before joining Chartwell, Wan was with PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance, where he represented listed corporate clients in making acquisitions and private clients in fund-raising, private equity, and identifying acquisition opportunities.
