FNEX, the financial marketplace for alternative investments, has appointed Carissa Newton as the company’s chief marketing officer.
Newton reports directly to FNEX CEO Todd Ryden and leads all strategic marketing efforts at FNEX beginning with the company’s national marketing and advertising campaign.
FNEX launched FNEX.com, an online marketplace for alternative investments including direct placements in private companies, hedge funds and managed futures accounts, in September 2013. The web-based platform provides investment advisors, family offices, institutions, and accredited investors access to investment opportunities offered by investment banks and funds across the US.

AMP Capital has launched an Asia quant fund, which takes the quantitative investment technique it has used in Australia and applies it to a selection of rapidly developing Asian markets.
The AMP Capital Asia Quant Fund, which is market neutral, has been launched with USD25 million in assets under management.
During market testing, the fund has established a two-year track record of long/short investing in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea, which is combined with AMP Capital’s 20 years of quantitative investing in Australia.
The fund’s investible universe comprises more than 800 stocks across the five countries.
The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), in association with the Luxembourg Association of Risk Management (ALRiM), has published new risk management guidelines.
The guidelines cover operational risk management within UCITS, and risk management under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).

Bellairs has over 16 years' experience as an auditor and adviser across the Financial Services industry.

Investors are reassessing the relative value of the main asset classes, according to research released by the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK).
The CFA UK Valuations Index reveals that almost half of investment professionals (49 per cent) currently view developed market equities as overvalued, up from 39 per cent last quarter, while just 16 per cent view them as undervalued – the lowest proportion since the index was first published in 2012.
