The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued guidance to assist investment managers in applying Section 206(4) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 to their use of social media.
According to law firm Sadis & Goldberg, the guidance seeks to assist investment managers in developing compliance policies and procedures reasonably designed to address marketing through social media.

Neuberger Berman Group has expanded its global high yield team with the appointment of Andrew Wilmont as lead European high yield portfolio manager, based in London.
Wilmont, a veteran portfolio manager who most recently served as head of European high yield investments at Alcentra Ltd, will be a senior member of Neuberger Berman's global high yield team, reporting to Ann Benjamin, the firm's chief investment officer for non-investment grade strategies.

Brinker Capital has launched three 40-Act liquid alternative mutual funds – Crystal Strategy Absolute Income Fund, Crystal Strategy Absolute Return Fund, and Crystal Strategy Leveraged Alternative Fund.
The new funds are designed to mirror the investment strategy of the firm’s Crystal Strategy suite of global macro funds, and will be offered primarily through the insurance-based and independent broker dealer channels as well as through registered investment advisors.
The funds are available via the Fidelity IWS and NFS, Pershing, Schwab, TD Ameritrade and LPL custodial platforms.
