Dexion Trading Limited’s (DTL) net asset value per share has risen by 3.33 per cent YTD, according to the listed fund of hedge funds’ latest half-yearly report.
Over the last 12 months the company’s discount has improved by 3.33 per cent, while the company’s share price has improved by 13.14 per cent.

Assets on the Sciens Managed Account Platform (MAP) are up 35 per cent year-on-year to end June 2013, with two new trading advisors added to the platform – US-based Revolution Capital Management and Japan’s Stats Investment Management.

Sub-investment grade corporate credit specialist Alcentra, part of BNY Mellon, has invested in CorpAcq plc, a South Manchester-based company committed to the acquisition and investment in strong asset backed, profitable and cash generative owner-managed enterprises.
Headquartered in Altrincham and founded in 2006, CorpAcq has grown its business to manage eight portfolio companies representing more than GBP70m in revenues in the year ending December 2012.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed and settled charges against Jeannie Veraja-Snelling, d/b/a Veraja-Snelling & Company, a certified public accountant and sole practitioner from Glendale Heights, Illinois, barring her from practicing before the Commission.
The CFTC’s Order charges Veraja-Snelling with failing to audit Peregrine Financial Group in accordance with CFTC Regulation 1.16.
Veraja Snelling was the auditor for Peregrine, a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM). On 10 July 2012, the CFTC charged Peregrine and its sole owner and chief executive officer, Russell Wasendorf, Sr with fraud, among other violations, within 24 hours after the discovery
Pension fund alternative assets allocations now account for nearly 20 per cent of all pension fund assets across the globe, according to a study by Towers Watson.
The 2012 Global Alternative Survey notes the number as a five per cent increase from 15 years ago.
The research, which was conducted by Towers Watson, and which included the diverse ranges of figures and asset calculation, showed that pensions fund representing 36 per cent of the top 100 manager assets figured into the “alternative” category.
