Global investment solutions provider, Russell Investments, has been selected by French pension plan, Fonds de réserve pour les retraites (FRR), as transition management partner. FRR will utilise Russell Investments’ deep capital markets expertise and extensive trading capabilities to reduce exposure risk and execution costs when restructuring its mandates, including changes to managers, strategies, benchmarks and investment styles.

The UK Equity Trustees Fund Services Board has appointed Tim Callaghan as independent director. He brings more than 30 years of experience in managing, marketing and oversight of investment strategies as an investment specialist. He was most recently the chief investment officer and lead manager of the Globersel Pactum Natural Resources Fund at Nextam Partners Ltd. Callaghan is a Certified European Financial Analyst and holds a BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Management from King’s College London University. 
Hedge funds trading technology companies endured a bumpy start to 2022, with bets on a slew of blue-chip stocks souring as investors took flight amid fears of rising inflation and interest rates coupled with concerns over US economic growth.
Marshall Wace maintained its position as the manager with the greatest short exposure in April, accounting for 21.99% of registered short positions (up from 15.69% at the end of February), according to the latest monthly pan-European short position data from SEI Novus. Bellinger Asset Management (Bellinger) has appointed Greg Hampton as CEO of its recently established Bellinger Credit business. In this role, Hampton will lead Bellinger’s credit strategy, which will initially focus on further secondary market debt and lending investments in the aviation sector while also exploring credit opportunities in other real asset classes over time. Gr Hampton eg joins Bellinger with more than 25 years of asset finance experience gained within leading global banks.
