Veteran fund manager David Roberts is to retire from fund management in August. This comes after a career of managing fixed income funds and investment teams that began in 1988.
Roberts joined Liontrust in January 2018 along with Phil Milburn and Donald Phillips to create the Liontrust Global Fixed Income team. Since their launch in 2018, Roberts has co-managed with Milburn and Phillips the Liontrust Strategic Bond, GF Strategic Bond and GF Absolute Return Bond funds. He has also been assisting Milburn and Phillips in managing the Liontrust GF High Yield Bond fund over the past four years.

Rimes, a provider of data management and investment intelligence solutions to investors and asset managers, has appointed Renaud Larzilliere as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.
Larzilliere leads the sales engineering, implementation, client services and enterprise project management teams, and is a member of the Executive Committee. He will continue to lead the Rimes technology group, of which he’s been the CTO for the five years.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has launched DTCC Treasury Kinetics, a new service that provides access to critical US treasury transaction data, increasing transparency into the repurchase agreement (repo) market.
Leveraging data from the Government Securities Division of DTCC’s subsidiary, Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC), this new service provides a daily summary of aggregated and anonymised trade activity including number of trades, volumes, dollar amounts and rates for delivery vs payment (DVP) repo. On average, FICC matches, nets and settles repo transactions valued at more than USD3 trillion dollars each day.

The global pandemic continues to significantly impact investment strategies among global asset managers, according to new research from Clearwater Analytics (CWAN).
A poll of over 140 asset managers and owners representing more than USD5 trillion in AUM showed more than a third of investors investment strategies will change this year in response to Covid. The study asked how investment strategies had changed since the start of the pandemic, and how this compares to what they have planned for 2022 in the wake of the recent omicron surge.

Mayer Brown has appointed investment funds lawyer Matthew Griffin as a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice in London.
Griffin advises on fund formations and fund investments across illiquid and liquid asset classes in Europe and around the world for sponsors, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds. His practice also includes advising on co-investments, secondary transactions, carried interest arrangements and other complex fund related matters, including fund restructurings, continuation funds and liquidity events.

CMC Markets Connect, a global provider of institutional trading and technology solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Integral, a technology provider of cloud-based eFX workflow solutions.
CMC Markets will be distributing its Spot FX and Indices, Treasuries and Commodity CFDs including over 12,000 CFDs covering a range of single stocks and ETFs. Integral clients will have the ability to access pricing as well as execute trades.
RBC Global Asset Management’s specialist fixed income manager, BlueBay Asset Management, has proved its third European CLO, BBAM European CLO III DAC, and its inaugural public US CLO, BBAM US CLO I.
The European CLO will issue EUR408.15 million notes arranged and placed with a syndicate of leading international institutional investors, by Citigroup Global Markets Limited. The transaction is expected to close on 25 March, 2022.
The US CLO will issue USD401.40 million notes arranged and placed with a syndicate of leading international institutional investors, by Barclays Capital Inc. The transaction is expected to close on 29 March, 2022.
