Global funds services and solutions provider Ocorian has appointed Paul Spendiff as head of business development, global funds as it continues to expand its support for international fund managers.  
Brevan Howard has appointed Murray Coalville, a former vice president at Nomura, to head up its systematic operations, according to a report by The Financial News. Colville joins after spending four months at institutional crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies as a technical account manager.
Apex Group has appointed Alice Read as country head, Jersey. She will report to James Burke, regional head of Northern Europe and Channel Islands and be responsible for leading the group’s Jersey-based team.
Crestbridge has expanded its team in Luxembourg with two senior appointments – Teodora Croitoru who joins as head of compliance, fund services, and Emmanuelle Poret who has taken on the role of head of client onboarding, fund services & ManCo.
Munro Partners has appointed Qiao Ma to the newly created role of portfolio manager. She will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office and report to chief investment officer Nick Griffin.
Goldman Sachs’s head of emerging markets rates Amir Fais trading has announced he is leaving the firm after 15 years to start a ‘new part’ of his career, which will reportedly see him take a up a role with a hedge fund, according to a report by eFinancial Careers. Multi-asset prime brokerage Invast Global has bolstered its sales team with the appointment of Tiffany Besnard as the Director, Head of Hedge Fund Sales (APAC). Besnard is based out of the firm’s Sydney office.
Pine River Capital Management, a global relative value alternative asset manager and provider of investment solutions to qualified clients through commingled hedge funds and bespoke solutions, has appointed Conan Crum as a portfolio manager to focus on US and UK relative value inflation strategies.
Hedgeye Risk Management, an independent provider of institutional investor research traditionally catering for hedge funds and fund managers on Wall Street, has added finance industry veteran David Salem to its research team. Salem brings 40 years of Wall Street experience to Hedgeye and will lead the firm’s efforts to deliver institutional investor quality research to pension funds, endowments, family offices, RIAs and other large capital asset allocators.  Hedgeye says Salem’s considerable industry experience – from his work at The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF) and as partner at Jeremy Grantham’s GMO – will allow it to bring its investment research
Independent asset management firm, Carmignac has added to its alternative investment offering with the appointment of merger arbitrage specialists, Fabienne Cretin-Fumeron and Stéphane Dieudonné, who both join the firm from Candriam.
