Privium Fund Management has appointed Paul Hamill as Chief Operating Officer (COO). OSTC, a global derivatives trading and education business, has appointed Professor Rose Luckin as an independent non-executive Board member.  Luckin is Professor of Learner Centred Design at the UCL Knowledge Lab in London. Her research involves the design and evaluation of educational technology using theories from the learning sciences and techniques from Artificial Intelligence (AI).   She has a particular interest in using AI to open up the ‘black box’ of learning to show teachers and students the detail of their progress intellectually, emotionally and socially. Liquidnet, a global institutional investment network, has appointed Patrick Strobel as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Strobel will oversee the company’s overall technology strategy, including product development for Liquidnet’s three business verticals, middle office solutions, data and analytics solutions, and overall systems architecture. BTIG Limited (BTIG) has created a Fixed income Credit division in London to service clients across EMEA. The team comprises sales and trading professionals and mirrors BTIG’s rapidly-expanding fixed income credit business unit in the US market. Spotex, a developer of foreign exchange technology systems and institutional ECN operator, has promoted John Miesner to CEO less than a year after he joined the firm.
