Multi-strategy hedge fund Typhon Capital Management has appointed Karen Bertoli as Operations and Prime Broker Liaison.  Bertoli splits her time between the United States and the United Kingdom and will support the Operations and External Affairs activities of the growing firm. Mosaic Smart Data (Mosaic), a real-time capital markets data analytics company, has appointed Oxford University Professor of Mathematical Finance, Rama Cont, as Scientific Advisor. Professor Cont’s role will be to help Mosaic Smart Data utilise the latest academic quantitative finance research in the development of its machine learning, artificial intelligence and data analytics capabilities. Derivatives trading firm The Chicago Trading Company (CTC) has named Daniel Feuser as its next CEO. Feuser, who  has been with CTC in a variety of roles in 20 years with the company, most recently, served as Chief Strategy Officer, where he led the firm’s efforts to evolve its core business and expand into new businesses.  Previously, Dan served as Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw the Trading, Quant, Technology, and Operations functions of CTC. “I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity I’ve had these past 20 years to work with such an incredible team of collaborative, caring, and talented people.
CQS has appointed Serge Harry as Group Chief Financial Officer. He will report to Xavier Rolet, CQS’ Chief Executive Officer, and he will join the CQS Executive Committee. Harry will also oversee the Human Resources function. Itiviti, a technology and service provider for the capital markets industry, has appointed Linda Middleditch as Chief Product Officer. An experienced strategy and change management specialist, Middleditch joins Itiviti from Bloomberg LP, where she most recently was Global Head of SSEOMS Product Management.
