GoldMoney, the online precious metals trader, has strengthened its management expertise with the promotion of two new directors, Natasha Le Dain-Cyples and Christina Irgel.
Le Dain-Cyples and Irgel have joined chief financial officer Peter Wright in leading the day-to-day business of the British-based company with chief executive officer, Geoff Turk.

Most of the principals and employees of Rothstein Kass, a professional services firm in the hedge fund industry, are to join US audit and tax advisory firm KPMG.
The move brings together KPMG’s alternative investments presence and global reach with Rothstein Kass’ expertise and personnel.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks, and terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.
“Combining the strength of KPMG and its global reach with Rothstein Kass’ leading market position will create the preeminent professional services provider in the hedge fund market,” says John Veihmeyer, global chairman of KPMG.
Robert K Steel has joined investment advisory and asset management firm Perella Weinberg Partners as chief executive officer, with effect from 7 July 2014.
Joseph Perella will continue in an active role as chairman, while co-founders Terry Meguid and Peter Weinberg will remain in their roles as co-head of asset management and head of advisory, respectively.
Steel’s (pictured) career of almost 40 years in financial services includes both public and private sector experience. Most recently he was New York City’s Deputy Mayor for Economic Development under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, where he spearheaded the administration’s major redevelopment projects.

In this newly created role, Gargula will be responsible for marketing in the RIA, family office, bank, broker/dealer, and financial intermediary channels.

Alternative investment and private securities marketplace FNEX has appointed Chris Nelson as the company’s chief technology officer.
In this role he will oversee overall company operations, systems and platform development.
Nelson brings over 18 years of experience in technology. He joins FNEX from Delivra where he was director of operations, growing the company’s top line more than five times without incurring any debt, and spent many years in the role of director of information technology.

Fund governance firm DMS Offshore Investment Services is expanding its operations in Europe to take advantage of new opportunities in the alternative investment funds market.
DMS intends to create 50 new roles in fund governance and risk management at its European operations centre in Dublin, a move that is supported by Ireland's Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through the Industrial Development Authority (IDA Ireland).
DMS established its Dublin office in 2008 to provide fund governance services to fund promoters. In 2012, the firm added a management company service to assist promoters who needed to comply with the Alternative

Marco Tang joins the Hong Kong office from Baring Asset Management as head of retail distribution for mainland China and Hong Kong.
Katherine Low, based in Singapore, joins from Blackrock to spearhead Neuberger Berman's retail distribution in Singapore.
Elina Choy, formerly with First State, has been named head of Asia Pacific product and marketing, based in Hong Kong.

Dr Ed Altman has joined the high yield team at alternative asset management company Tradex in an alliance to help execute the firm's Short-Biased High Yield strategy.
Altman (pictured) is the Max L Heine Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business, New York University.
