Ken Goodreau has joined FlowPoint Capital Partners as chief investment officer and portfolio manager.
FlowPoint has also hired Nick Trotman as chief operating officer and portfolio manager.
Goodreau will be responsible for leading the FlowPoint investment strategy as well as consultant relations and marketing. He brings 20 years of experience in investment management to the firm.

Before joining FlowPoint, Goodreau was chief investment officer at Tiedemann Investment Group,
John Riley, the legislative affairs director at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, is leaving the agency this month after a 30-year career in Federal service.
Riley, a former Capitol Hill staffer, has led the Office of Legislative Affairs while Congress debated and passed landmark financial reform legislation and as the CFTC implemented its key provisions.

Alternative investment manager Man Group has appointed Pierre-Henri Flamand as senior portfolio manager at GLG.
Flamand will join the firm in 2014 and focus on a global catalyst-driven strategy.
Flamand brings 20 years of experience in investing to Man Group. He spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs where he was head of the principal strategies group. Most recently, he ran Edoma Capital Partners, a Europe-focused event-driven hedge fund.

Caporale (pictured) brings 30 years of experience in financial services and technology.
He spent the last 12 years at JPMorgan where he held senior leadership positions in strategy, business management and sales within the Investor Services business line.
Caporale has worked extensively with asset managers, alternative investment managers, insurance companies and pensions. Prior to JPMorgan, Caporale held senior positions at IBM, Deutsche Bank and Fiserv.

Private financial cloud provider Options has appointed former NYSE Euronext executive Richard Hughes as senior vice president, managing director for Europe.
Hughes, who was most recently responsible for global business development at NYSE Technologies, NYSE Euronext’s commercial technology division, will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s wider European division and associated efforts to drive new business growth, deliver service excellence and further develop Options’ regional relationships and broader European presence.

The team, which will be rebranded as the Fortress-Centaurus Global Strategy, will operate out of Fortress’s offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and will immediately transition to Fortress’s technology, infrastructure and marketing platforms.
The addition will further diversify Fortress’s liquid markets business, adding a seasoned team with 20 years of experience in the fast growing global equity long-short and event-driven space.
