International Management Services (IMS) has promoted Geoff Ruddick to head of funds. Investcorp has appointed Jonathan Joyce as head of operational risk for the firm’s New York-based hedge funds group. Joyce has nearly 10 years of hedge fund operations experience and joins Investcorp from FRM Investments, a subsidiary of Man Group, where he most recently served as the deputy head of business risk.   In his new role with Investcorp, Joyce will be responsible for monitoring the hedge funds group's operational risk and performing operational due diligence on all current and prospective hedge fund investments. Neuberger Berman has appointed Erik Knutzen as multi-asset class chief investment officer. Gar Wood Securities has added three industry veterans, Darren Day, Christopher Calvert and Joseph McDonald. Gar Wood's expansion is an effort to increase the firm's presence in the emerging manager space by providing prime brokerage and capital introduction to new and emerging fund managers.   The new group offers a combined 40 years of financial market experience, as well as many aspects of fund formation, trading and capital raising.    Day was previously a board member and partner at Concept Capital Markets, after forming and subsequently selling Alaris Trading Partners to Concept Capital Markets.    Calvert assisted in the launch
Jersey Finance has appointed Richard Corrigan as its new deputy chief executive officer. Corrigan (pictured), who joined Jersey Finance at the start of 2013, will continue to lead the organisation’s market development effort.   In his earlier banking career he held senior roles with both The Royal Bank of Scotland International and Barclays Wealth, working in a number of leading finance centres. Before moving to Jersey Finance, he was director for Barclays Wealth in Jersey.   Geoff Cook, CEO of Jersey Finance, says: “I am delighted that we have been able to fill this senior role from within the organisation.
International law firm Maples and Calder has appointed 12 new partners across its global offices. Euronext, a wholly owned subsidiary of IntercontinentalExchange Group, has appointed three leaders for its financial derivatives, commodities and cash businesses with effect from 1 April 2014.   Adam Rose will be appointed head of financial derivatives at Euronext. He has a strong track record of growing businesses over more than 20 years in the sales and trading of derivatives at Goldman Sachs and Commerzbank, and in the past seven years as managing director at ABN Amro.  Rose has extensive experience in both fixed income and equity derivatives and his most recent roles included head of sales and deputy head of global
Corporate credit specialist fund manager Muzinich & Co has continued to grow its UK presence with the appointment of a new sales manager, James Tomlinson.
