Equity-focused, event-driven investment manager OVS Capital Management has added Nitin Sharma to its investment team and promoted Manuel Blanco to partner.
Sharma joins OVS as an analyst, having previously worked as an equity analyst at Centaurus Capital, Brevan Howard and Ivaldi Capital. In these roles he focused on bottom-up fundamental stock analysis and equity and event driven situations.
Prior to this he worked at UBS as an analyst in the corporate finance team and from 2004 to 2007 at McKinsey & Company also in the corporate finance team.

LCH.Clearnet, the multi-national clearing house group, has appointed Suneel Bakhshi as its new group chief executive officer.
Subject to final regulatory approval, Bakhshi (pictured) is expected to join the organisation in early 2014, at which point Jacques Aigrain, interim executive chairman will resume his position as non-executive chairman of LCH.Clearnet Group, alongside his role as non-executive director of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Upon taking up his position, Bakhshi will also become a member of London Stock Exchange Group’s Executive Committee, headed by LSEG CEO Xavier Rolet. LSEG is a 57.8 per cent shareholder in LCH.Clearnet Group.

Jeffrey Trongone has joined alternative asset management company Tradex Global Advisors as president.
He will work closely with founders Michael Beattie and Richard Travia to continue the development of the firm as a provider of niche investment products, trade specific opportunities and a disciplined business platform to investors.
Trongone joins the firm as a senior partner and will focus on all commercial activities.

Edward S Nadel is joining Lowenstein Sandler’s investment management group as senior counsel.
Nadel was previously general counsel and chief compliance officer at Star Mountain Capital and, prior to that, was the director of alternative investments at Credit Suisse.
At Lowenstein Sandler, he will counsel clients on fund formation and structuring, fund transactions, and regulatory and compliance matters.
At Credit Suisse, Nadel was responsible for the structuring and development of private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, joint ventures, funds of funds and employee plans. He played a key role in structuring the spin-offs of GSO Capital Partners and
BlueBay Asset Management, a manager of fixed income and alternative investments, has appointed Lisa Stuart as director – sales UK & Ireland with immediate effect.
Stuart joins BlueBay from BlueCrest where she worked in a number of roles culminating in consultant relations manager. Prior to BlueCrest, she worked for many publications within the Incisive Media group.
Stuart will focus on driving direct business development efforts in the UK & Irish Institutional channels. She will work alongside Anthony Pickering, director – sales UK & Ireland, in the UK team of five.

Michael Bodson (pictured), President and Chief Executive Officer of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), is joining Omgeo’s Board of Managers as Chairman.

Erdely will join Investcorp from Lyxor Asset Management, a subsidiary of Societe Generale Group with approximately USD100 billion of assets under management, where he has served as Chief Investment Officer since 2004 and CEO of Lyxor Inc since 2009. Prior to joining the London office, Moritani (pictured) was in charge of global fiduciary business development and client services for global investors at the firm’s head office in Tokyo.
