Addepar, a provider of smart technology platforms for wealth and investment management, has appointed Eric Poirier as chief executive officer and Karen White as president and chief operating officer.
Addepar co-founder Joe Lonsdale continues to serve in his current role as executive chairman of the board, and co-founder Jason Mirra continues as chief technical officer. Mike Paulus, who was among Addepar’s first employees and served as president, is now the company’s chief strategy officer.
Poirier (pictured) and White have both been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Mark Sullivan, as a managing director and partner, and will work closely with Stonehaven’s chief executive to spearhead origination and ongoing management of mandates while also playing a senior management role.

BlueBay Asset Management, a manager of fixed income and alternative investments, has appointed David Riley as partner and head of credit strategy, reporting to BlueBay’s chief investment officer Mark Poole.
Riley (pictured) joins BlueBay from Fitch Ratings, where he led the global sovereign and supranational financial institutions group for over 10 years.
Riley brings a wealth of credit expertise in sovereign debt and the interconnections with bank and corporate credit to BlueBay’s investment team.

PineBridge Investments has appointed two senior sales executives – Tucker Glavin as managing director, US sales and Paul Osborne as managing director, UK & European sales.
Glavin and Osborne will be based in New York and London, respectively, and will report to John Baumann, head of institutional sales and client service, Americas and Europe. Their appointment is effective immediately.

Israel A Englander’s Managed Accounts & Prime Services (MA&PS) has expanded its sales and business development team.
MA&PS is a technology platform offering solutions for emerging hedge fund managers and investors.
MA&PS has appointed Bob Chicoine, Harry Freda and Nick Rizzi as managing directors who will be responsible for selling the firm’s managed accounts and prime brokerage services to both hedge fund managers and investors. Chicoini, Freda and Rizzi, who are former employees of Cantor Fitzgerald and PCS Dunbar, will be joining the firm’s existing sales team.

Independent fund administration company Apex Fund Services has appointed Gordon Shaw as chief operating officer of the Apex Group.
Shaw (pictured) was previously global head of banking and custody within the Credit Suisse alternative funds business. Prior to this, he was group chief operating officer at Fortis Prime Fund Solutions where he had responsibility for over USD100bn of assets under administration. Whilst at Fortis, Shaw worked in a number of senior positions in multiple locations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Alternative Investment Group, an alternative investment management firm that invests in fundamentally-oriented hedge funds, has named managing directors Joel Gantcher and Samuel Sussman as partners at the firm, effective immediately.
Gantcher (pictured) and Sussman joined the firm in January 2012 and will continue to serve on the firm’s investment committee.
Gantcher is head of manager research and oversees manager research, sourcing and due diligence efforts.
Sussman is head of investment strategy and directs the firm’s top-down research and leads the sourcing and monitoring of event-driven, credit and distressed managers.

The board of supervisors of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has re-elected Carlos Tavares as its vice chair.
Tavares (pictured), who is chairman of the Portuguese Comissão Do Mercado De Valores Mobiliários (CMVM), has completed an initial two and a half year term and will now serve a further term of two and a half years in the position.
The terms of three members of ESMA’s management board expired and elections were held by the board of supervisors to fill the positions for a term of two and a half years. Those elected are:

Mirabaud Asset Management has recruited Simon Götschmann in Zurich to complete its Swiss equity team.
Götschmann joins from Helvea where he was an analyst covering Swiss equities.
Götschmann joined on 1 July 2013 and completes the team consisting of Matthias Egger, specialist for Swiss small- and mid-caps, and Nicolas Bürki, specialist for Swiss large-caps.
Götschmann will initially be the analyst for Swiss equities, supporting both Egger and Bürki on the management of the Swiss equity products.
He has a deep knowledge of Swiss equities, having worked for Helvea as a sell-side analyst for medical technology, and
