Joe Truelove has been appointed as a director of Carey Group’s fund administration business.
He leaves Kleinwort Benson after 12 years, most recently as head of business development for the fund administration business.
Truelove (pictured) is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a qualified trust and estate practitioner and has degree in French and Hispanic Studies (Latin American) from the University of Aberdeen.
He trained with Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC) where he qualified as a chartered accountant while working in the audit and business assurance team.

Marie-Claire Fudge has joined Mourant Ozannes as counsel and head of funds in the British Virgin Islands.
Fudge (pictured) has extensive experience in structuring, setting up and launching open and closed ended BVI investment funds and providing ongoing advice to investment funds and their managers.
She has a regulatory practice which compliments her investment funds practice and regularly advises broker dealers and other market participants on the BVI’s investment business laws.
Fudge also has significant industry knowledge in all aspects of BVI corporate law, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and listings and joint venture
The World Gold Council, the market development organisation for the gold industry, has appointed Kevin Feldman as managing director – investment worldwide.
He will be responsible for growing the organisation’s portfolio of commercial partnerships, and enhancing its market leadership in gold ETFs and other physical gold products across the world.
Based in New York, his responsibilities will also include overseeing US operations.
Feldman (pictured) has over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles for leading global asset management firms both in the US and internationally. He joins the World Gold Council from BlackRock, where he was head of
Cayman directorship services company International Management Services (IMS) has added Cary Marr to its fund fiduciary team.
Marr, who joins IMS from Meridian Fund Services, an independently-owned hedge fund and private equity fund administrator, is well versed in the governance and regulatory issues facing hedge funds and has been providing non-executive directorship services for the past ten years.
“I’m thrilled to become a part of the IMS fiduciary team as I have always viewed IMS to be one of Cayman’s premier providers of hedge fund directorship services,” says Marr.
Gary Butler, managing director and legal counsel for
Netherlands-based hedge fund Saemor Capital has appointed Mary Kahng to its investor relations team.
Kahng will be responsible for developing Saemor’s relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, funds-of-funds, insurance companies, not-for-profits, family offices and wealth managers.
She has 16 years of global institutional investment experience, most recently at ING Investment Management in the Netherlands where she was a director and product specialist for alternative investments, servicing European investors.
Previous, Kahng worked in the US for 12 years at Ivy Asset management, a hedge fund-of-funds, where she serviced consultants, pensions, insurance companies and foundations. Prior to that,
Mirabaud Asset Management has appointed Nicolas Cremieux to its Paris-based convertible bonds team.
Cremieux (pictured) was previously senior manager of international convertible bonds for Dexia Asset Management.
Cremieux, who takes up his new position with Mirabaud on 19 August, will begin working in Paris with Renaud Martin, head of convertible bond management for Mirabaud Asset Management.
Cremieux will be the managing analyst on international convertible bonds, supporting Martin in the management of the Mirabaud Convertible Bonds Europe fund and directly participating in the launch of a global convertible bond fund currently being prepared by Mirabaud Asset Management.
The London Metal Exchange (LME) has appointed Robin Paine as chief technology officer.
Paine was previously the head of solutions delivery at Old Mutual, where he led a global transformation initiative across the change and technology functions and was responsible for delivery of all programmes within the wealth management division.
Prior to this, Paine was the chief technology officer at the London Stock Exchange for five years, where he was responsible for the strategy, leadership, delivery and operations of the group technology function.

TORA, a provider of trading technology and financial services, has appointed Brian Tafaro as managing director and co-head of TORA Liquidity Services.
He will be based in the US and focused on client coverage and sales in Japan and other Asian markets.
Tafaro will work as co-head with Khahlil Kirtman, who has been running TORA Liquidity Services since 2009. In his role, Tafaro will be responsible for servicing existing clients and expanding the company’s presence in Japan and Asia. This includes supporting sales of TORA’s product suite to the buy-side.
