Fairhills Group has hired Steven DiNunzio, CFA as Principal and Chief Financial Officer. Fairhills Group is a New York-based alternative asset management firm originally founded as the family office of Mr. Edward Bronson, a veteran principal investor and former telecom entrepreneur.   The appointment of DiNunzio comes as Fairhills expands its principal investment operations to include the incubation of experienced portfolio managers in new hedge fund strategies. Eric Greenhut has joined alternative investment manager Ramius as a Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Trading. Ramius’ quantitative trading platform was developed in-house and has been deploying proprietary capital through systematic trading programs since early 2010. Ramius is now seeking to expand and diversify the platform in order to enhance returns to proprietary capital and ultimately create systematic trading products for Ramius’ clients. In a newly created role, Greenhut will be responsible for the management and development of the group, including the ongoing search for premier quantitative traders, researchers, and programmers. CBOE Holdings has appointed Alexandra M Albright in the newly created role of Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for its affiliated exchanges – the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), C2 Options Exchange (C2), CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) and CBOE Stock Exchange (CBSX).  Albright, who will assume the CCO position on April 23, will report to President and COO Edward T. Man Group plc (‘Man’), the global alternative investment manager has appointed Ravi Chari as co-Head of Foreign Exchange at AHL, its systematic managed futures manager. Chari has a 12-year career in systematic trading at hedge funds. He joins Man from IKOS Asset Management, where he headed the group’s Futures and FX funds. Prior to joining IKOS in January 2010, Chari was a Portfolio Manager at Millennium Partners, running FX strategies. Aquila Capital, the Hamburg-based alternative investment company, has appointed Armin Gudat as Senior Fund Manager. Gudat will be responsible for Aquila Capital’s quantitative funds. Gudat joins Aquila Capital from AXA Rosenberg, the specialist active global equity investment management firm, where he was responsible for managing relationships with supporting institutional investors in Germany, continental Europe and the Middle East.
