Signia Wealth Limited has appointed Ameet Patel as head of alternative investments. Carne Group, a providers of hedge fund governance, has appointed senior US banker Fred Schilling as a Managing Director in its US office. The appointment comes as Carne expands its governance and oversight business in North America. Schilling is a veteran prime broking professional of more than three decades’ experience. He helped to found and build up Bear Stearns’ hedge fund prime brokerage into an industry-leading business.  He spent more than 20 years at Bear Stearns, where he was a Senior Managing Director and helped to launch and support some of the most successful hedge fund firms in the US.
