Clearstream is to extend the range of securities eligible for settlement in the future pan-European settlement platform TARGET2-Securities (T2S) by leveraging the network of cross-border links to non T2S markets of its international central securities depository (ICSD). Financial information services company Markit has acquired thinkFolio, a London-based maker of portfolio management software. The software from thinkFolio offers sophisticated order management (OMS), portfolio modelling, compliance and cash management capabilities for the cash and derivative markets across multiple asset classes including bonds, commodities, equities and foreign exchange.    Around 3,000 traders and portfolio managers at leading buyside firms use thinkFolio today.   The acquisition expands Markit’s franchise in enterprise software and its ability to provide front office solutions.  thinkFolio is already integrated with Markit’s enterprise data management solution and certain data services from Markit, such as Transaction Cost Analysis
Deutsche Börse Market Data + Services has acquired Impendium Systems, a London-based firm that deploys cloud-based software solutions to help customers’ achieve regulatory compliance in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Traiana has launched a service to reconcile client reference data ahead of the introduction of mandatory electronic trading of swaps on swap execution facilities (SEFs). BNP Paribas and Morgan Stanley have joined EurexOTC Clear for Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Eurex Clearing’s central counterparty service for OTC derivatives, increasing the total number of clearing members to 32. “Joining EurexOTC Clear is a major element of our approach to offer a full scope of OTC CCP services to our clients all over Europe. Global Reporting Company (GRC) and REGIS-TR have teamed up to provide buy-side and corporate clients with European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) compliant trade reporting services.
