InfoHedge Technologies, a provider of IT services and solutions to the alternative investment industry, has been selected by Tradar as an authorised hosting provider for Tradar Insight, a portfolio management system.
The partnership enables Tradar’s client base to have an option of deploying Insight as a hosted ASP based solution via InfoHedge’s managed hosting and Citrix infrastructure.
End users now have an ability to access the application not only from their office PCs but also from any remote computer as well as Apple iPads with the data securely hosted and backed up by the InfoHedge Hosted Platform infrastructure.

Deutsche Bank’s dbClear platform has cleared on behalf of Citadel one of the first interest rate swaps on CME Group’s IRS platform.
These transactions represent a step forward in the development of OTC clearing services post the passing of the Dodd-Frank Bill.

Citi has cleared its first client trades through the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on the CME’s newly launched interest rate swap clearing platform.
In addition to CME, Citi currently clears interest rate swap trades for clients through LCH.Clearnet’s Swapclear service.

Omgeo and EuroCCP’s new pan-European equities matching and central counterparty clearing service for hedge fund transactions has executed a live trade with prime broker and executing broker Credit Suisse and hedge fund manager Citadel.
Credit Suisse and Citadel intend to continue to partner with Omgeo and EuroCCP to ensure that their interfaces become scalable and ready to be extended to a broader range of counterparties in the future.

The rapidly expanding foreign exchange markets have attracted a new, sophisticated breed of individual trader focused almost entirely on forex, according to the first phase results of the CitiFX Pro Forex Trader Survey 2010.
The first-ever industry wide survey of forex traders was sponsored by CitiFX Pro and conducted in partnership with major forex media outlets including FXstreet.com, ActionForex, ForexPros and ForexTV.

LCH.Clearnet’s SwapClear service is to extend the range of currencies cleared from 14 to 20.
From quarter one 2011, interest rate swaps denominated in HUF, CZK, KRW, MXN, BRL and SGD will be clearable.
This extension, which follows consultation with market participants, enables over 95 per cent of the global IRS market to be cleared through SwapClear.

Following a slowdown in trading activity from mid-year 2009 to mid-year 2010, US institutions are hopeful about a recovery in equity derivatives trading volumes in 2011, but hardly bullish.
Based on an analysis of the amount of commissions paid by US institutions to brokers on trades of options, Greenwich Associates estimates average trading volume in options products declined some 20 per cent from June 2009 to June 2010.

David Gorton and Brevan Howard have formed a joint venture, DG Systematic Trading, to pursue systematic trading strategies.
Gorton is the chief investment officer of the new venture with responsibility for the management and development of trading strategies based upon a suite of systematic models which have been running capital since May 2006 including capital allocated from Brevan Howard Master Fund since 1 March 2010.
DG Systematic Trading will be FSA authorised and will act as investment manager of Brevan Howard Systematic Trading Fund, a systematic trading fund which uses Brevan Howard’s risk management and execution platform.
