Law firm Maples and Calder, which advises on the laws of the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Ireland and Jersey, has appointed seven new partners and three of counsel across its global offices.
The new partners in the firm’s Cayman Islands office include Tim Coak, Daniel Lee, Anthony Philp, James Reeve and Shari Seymour. Callaghan Kennedy and Michelle Lloyd were elected as partners in the Dublin and Hong Kong offices, respectively. The firm’s new of counsel include Tim Dawson and David Sherwin in the Cayman Islands office and Mary O’Neill in the Dublin office.

DWS has appointed Clarence Ng as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Alternatives Asia Pacific business, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for DWS China.
In these newly created positions, Ng will be responsible for managing the implementation of all financial and governance aspects of the Alternatives business across the APAC region, in addition to managing all operational aspects of DWS Shanghai. Based in Shanghai, Ng will report to Leon Williams, Chief Operating Officer Alternatives, Asia Pacific.
Ng joins DWS with 16 years of experience. His most recent position held was Global Markets Finance Director for Deutsche Bank (China) Company
StatPro Group, a provider of cloud-based portfolio analytics and asset pricing services for the global asset management industry, has made two new senior appointments and announced a new divisional structure for its Canadian operations.
In alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives, with a formal go-live date of 1 January 2019, StatPro will begin to operate across three divisions, StatPro Revolution, Source: StatPro, and StatPro Infovest. The Revolution division will focus on cloud-based performance and risk analytics platform. Tamasco (pictured), has more than 25 years of experience developing new business globally, managing investment strategies and trading fixed income securities. In his new role, he will offer Seix’s comprehensive array of fixed income strategies, including its expertise in managing broad market, short duration, taxable and tax-exempt investment grade portfolios along with high yield bonds, leveraged loans, CLO structures and multi-sector credit solutions.

Jim Gentleman has rejoined independent investment management, investment consulting and services firm Wilshire Funds Management as a Managing Director.

JonesTrading Institutional Services (JonesTrading) has appointed Cabot Henderson as Risk Arbitrage Market Strategist. JonesTrading says Henderson adds to its capabilities as block trading firm in risk arbitrage and event driven trading situations.
Henderson has over a decade of experience in portfolio management, trading, and analysis in risk and event driven situations. Prior to joining JonesTrading, he was Founder and Portfolio Manager at Center Hill Capital. He has served as Senior Analyst at Hudson Bay Capital and was an Analyst and Trader at C12 Capital. BTIG has added Jack McCourt and Kenneth Smalley to the firm’s Fixed Income Credit team where they will focus on high-yield sales and strategy.
McCourt joins BTIG as a Managing Director within High-Yield Sales in Los Angeles, while Smalley joins as a Managing Director and High-Yield Strategist in New York.
As high-yield specialists, they will effectively strengthen the Fixed Income Credit team and diversify its capabilities. McCourt and Smalley will report into Drew Doscher and Darren Haines, Managing Directors and Co-Heads of Fixed Income Credit at BTIG.

BlueMountain Capital Management (BlueMountain), a private, diversified alternative asset management firm, has appointed Nitin Dewan as Portfolio Manager, Primary Strategies in the firm’s equities team.
