Options, a managed service and IT infrastructure provider to the global capital markets industry, has appointed former NYSE Technologies and Vela Trading Systems executive Micah Kroeze to its management team.
Kroeze (pictured), joins the New York team as VP, Product Management where he will be responsible for driving new business growth and supporting the firm’s product development.
Kroeze brings nearly a decade of industry experience to Options from NYSE Technologies and Vela Trading Systems, where he oversaw the growth of the firm’s market data and hosted services product lines. Kroeze was instrumental in the expansion of the firm’s infrastructure,
Skip Hashimoto, managing director of Ogier Global in Tokyo, has been appointed to the executive committee of AIMA Japan.
Hashimoto (pictured), says: “It is a privilege to join the Executive Board of AIMA Japan and have the opportunity to work closely with leaders in the Japanese alternative investment fund industry.

European equities clearing house EuroCCP has appointed Cécile Nagel as Chief Executive Officer. Nagel joins from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) where she was most recently Head of LSE Markets Global Product Development and LSE Exchange Traded Products.
Nagel joined LSEG in 2009 and has worked in a number of senior roles across the organisation including Head of Strategic Planning for the Group and Global Head of Equities and Commodities at LCH Group, LSEG’s multi-asset clearinghouse. Prior to LSEG, she worked at Oliver Wyman and the Financial Services Authority.

BNY Mellon has made another significant addition to its global strategy team with the appointment of John Velis as FX and Macro Strategist for the Americas.
In his new role, Velis will take his place among the Aerial View commentators, sharing his insights through regular market commentary distributed to both clients and the media.
Velis joins BNY Mellon from State Street, where he was instrumental in running a Macro Research function that applied proprietary data on investor behaviour, market-risk modelling and real-time inflation analysis to the firm’s client base.

Risk management and insurance brokerage veteran Lou D’Agostino and his Iron Cove Partners team have joined EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants.
D’Agostino (pictured), has over 17 years of insurance brokerage experience with an expertise in serving the Financial Services industry. D’Agostino and team will be based in EPIC’s Midtown, NYC office, reporting to EPIC’s Northeast Region President, Thomas O’Neil, and operating as Iron Cove – a division of EPIC.

Apex Group (Apex), one of the world’s largest fund administrators, has appointed Joseph Holman as Global Head of Allocators for the Group.
Holman will manage relationships with institutional-sized investors and allocators worldwide and brings with him more than 25 years of industry experience in building and integrating businesses in the fund management space.
As Global Head of Allocators, Holman will report to the Group’s recently appointed Chief Revenue Officer, Fred Jacobs, and will be based alongside him in the New York office.
Prior to joining the Apex team, Holman held a variety of senior positions throughout the fund
Harry Moumdjian has been appointed Global Head of FX Sales, BNY Mellon Markets.
In this newly-created role, Moumdjian will focus on unifying BNY Mellon Markets’ FX sales teams globally under one leader and review the company’s currency product suite as it continues to build out a full-service FX platform aimed at enhancing the client experience.
Moumdjian joins BNY Mellon from Morgan Stanley, where he ran the firm’s DeltaFX and e-FX sales functions. Prior to this, Moumdjian worked at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Citibank in a variety of FX sales and trading roles.

Law firm Morrison & Foerster has appointed Benoit Lavigne as a partner in the finance practice in the firm’s London office.
Lavigne (pictured), who has a wealth of experience in complex, cross-border finance matters, comes to Morrison & Foerster from Ropes & Gray, and is the third partner to join the firm’s London office in 2018, following the additions of Caroline Jury, also a highly experienced finance partner who joined from Clifford Chance, and Dan Coppel, a corporate partner who joined from Jones Day.

Wilshire Associates (Wilshire) has appointed two senior investment professionals, Suehyun Kim and Rebekah Chow, to the team at Wilshire Funds Management.
Kim joins as Vice President of Wilshire Associates and Portfolio Manager at Wilshire Funds Management, based in Santa Monica. In this role, she will be responsible for creating multi-asset class, multi-manager investment solutions for financial intermediary clients. Chow joins as Senior Associate and a member of the manager research group at Wilshire Associates, based in Chicago. Her research will primarily focus on core, core plus and credit focused fixed income strategies.
