Sanlam FOUR, the boutique investment manager of the Sanlam Group, has boosted the management team behind its Strategic Bond Fund.
Francois Kotze (pictured), who joins Sanlam FOUR from Rathbone Brothers, has been named as assistant manager alongside lead manager Craig Veysey, who has run the Strategic Bond Fund since launch in March 2012. Prior to his role as a fixed income analyst at Rathbones, Kotze was a senior credit and macro analyst at Sanlam Private Investments.
The team behind the Sanlam Strategic Bond Fund also includes macro analyst Matthew Brittain, who joined the Sanlam investment team in 2015.
Ogier has promoted two senior investment funds specialists in its Cayman team in recognition of their experience and technical skill.
Ben Gillooly (pictured), has been promoted to Counsel, while Justin Savage has become a Managing Associate.
Gillooly Ben works with major financial institutions, hedge fund managers and their onshore counsel with a particular focus on Latin American financial markets. He is Caymanian and has been qualified in the jurisdiction for more than ten years. Gillooly also has experience working in Hong Kong.
Ogier introduced the new Counsel role to the firm’s structure at the start of the year.
SteelEye, the compliance technology and data analytics firm, has appointed Matt Smith (pictured), a highly-experienced regulatory tech specialist, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Smith’s appointment is aimed at helping drive the firm’s growth as it markets its secure and scalable data storage platform which incorporates best-in-class analytics. The SteelEye product has been designed to help financial firms meet their obligations under MiFID II, whilst also acquiring valuable insights into their businesses.

Intertrust has announced a raft of senior appointments in fund services spanning some of its priority jurisdictions.
James Donnan has been appointed as head of Fund Services for the Hong Kong office. In his role James will oversee the delivery of services to Intertrust’s alternative fund clients and will be responsible for leading the group’s private equity strategy across Asia. He was previously commercial director, Greater China for Intertrust, before which he spent 10 years with KPMG in Hong Kong, China and Australia, most recently as director in their financial services division.

Imperial Capital Group has hired James P Kenney and Kevin Cadden, two senior institutional convertible sales professionals, forming a dedicated Convertible Sales Group, and adding to the franchise’s continued credit sales & trading growth initiatives.

Estera, a provider of offshore fiduciary and administration services, has appointed Brad Stephenson (pictured), as team manager for the company’s Cayman Islands fund services business.
In his new role, Stephenson oversees Estera Cayman’s fund offering, including fund directorships and related fiduciary services to Cayman corporate structures.
Stephenson, who has more than a decade of experience in the Cayman funds industry, previously served as a business development manager within a provider of specialised trust and fund administration services. He has extensive experience offering guidance on a range of corporate structures and has overseen the day-to-day management of funds in markets

Prestige Capital Management Limited (PCM), the AIFMD-licensed Malta arm of the Prestige group of companies, has expanded its Malta-based operation with the appointment of Dario Inclimona as junior portfolio manager to its growing team.
Inclimona will be working alongside Jonathan Scott (pictured), who joined PCM as Chief Operations Officer in November 2016, and will be looking after day to day fund investment portfolio operations.
This is part of PCM’s increasing role as the day to day operations and reporting centre for the range of Prestige Funds.

Muzinich & Co, a corporate credit specialist, has opened a new office in Singapore, its first in Asia.
Muzinich & Co (Singapore) Pt. Limited has obtained a Capital Markets Services License for fund management from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Eric Pictet (pictured), who has held various senior positions in Europe since joining the firm in 2003, will have primary oversight of the Singapore office.

Joe Oliver (pictured), has stepped down from LOGiQ Asset Management’s Board of Directors to assume a new role as Chairman of Echelon Wealth Partners, an independent investment dealer.
Oliver served on the LOGiQ Board of Directors since April 2017.
