Many Hedge Funds historically have used futures to gain exposure to indices, but this may be set to change, according to research by exchange traded fund (ETF) provider Source.

Trentacosta will play a key role in driving business development in North America for MUFG Investor Services’ asset servicing solutions across hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity/real estate funds. These solutions include fund administration, middle-office outsourcing, custody, depository, trustee, fund of hedge fund financing, FX and wider banking services. GAM, the independent, active investment manager, has appointed Tony Morton to its UK regional distribution team as a Client Manager.
Morton will be responsible for promoting GAM’s product range, including its single strategy funds and the GAM Model Portfolio Service to advisers and discretionary managers in the North West.
Prior to joining GAM, Morton was a regional sales manager at Coram Asset Management, covering the IFA and discretionary wholesale market in the North. Tony has previously worked for Premier Asset Management and Fidelity Investments in business development roles.

Law firm Seward & Kissel has appointed Ivy Wafford Duke as Counsel in the Investment Management Practice Group based in the firm’s Washington DC office.
Duke has more than two decades of in-house experience in the investment management sector. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Acting General Counsel for Calvert Investments, Inc. In that role, Duke was responsible for overseeing all legal and regulatory matters affecting the affiliated SEC registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, and the Calvert mutual funds.

Datawatch Corporation has reached an agreement with Potrero Capital Research whereby Charles Gillman, Executive Managing Director of the IDWR Multi-Family Office has been appointed to the Datawatch Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Gillman will fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Dr Terry Potter who will step down due to other commitments. Gillman will join the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and the Compensation and Stock Committee.

Options has appointed Jon Lambert as the firm’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Lambert, who previously served as CFO for both TIBCO and Wombat Financial Software, brings with him over 25 years of corporate finance and operational experience within the infrastructure technology and financial services sector.
