CF Partners has appointed Vu Nguyen as a Senior Research Analyst joining the asset management investment team.
Nguyen brings strong experience from the asset management and investment banking industry during which time he has accumulated significant expertise in the utility and energy sectors.
Vu joins CF Partners from Sanford Bernstein, an investment research firm. Previously, he was a research analyst at Nomura International specialising in European utilities and energy companies. He has also worked as an investment analyst at Orbis, a USD20 billion mutual fund, and for KPMG Audit.
Commenting on the appointment, Roland Vetter, Portfolio Manager and
First Names Group, a provider of trust, funds and corporate services, has appointed Pete Emery as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO). The appointment is effective immediately.
Emery, who will be based in the Group’s London office, will work closely with Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cengiz Somay, and the Management Team to deliver the Group’s strategic objectives. His new role will focus on developing a global operational platform to enable First Names Group to achieve its vision for continued growth. Emery will also oversee group functions, namely: change, HR, technology services, treasury, facilities and management information.

Khasgiwale will work closely with Aviva Investors’ strategic partners and clients in North America with a focus on our multi-strategy capabilities and outcome oriented solutions.
Khasgiwale joins the team with 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Aviva, Rahul was the Investment Director for Multi-Asset solutions at Manulife Asset Management. Morningstar has made leadership appointments to the Morningstar Investment Management group for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Dan Kemp has been appointed Chief Investment Officer for Morningstar’s Investment Management group for the EMEA region. He replaces Daniel Needham, CFA, who became President and Chief Investment Officer for the Morningstar Investment Management group in January 2015. The company has also appointed Robin Johnson, CFA, as Head of Portfolio Management, EMEA. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Foresti, a managing director, will continue as head of Wilshire Consulting’s Investment Research Group, which oversees strategic investment research and the development of asset class assumptions for use in Wilshire Consulting’s asset allocation modelilng. State Street Corporation has appointed Effie Datson as global head of product for its Alternative Investment Solutions division. Datson’s initial focus will be on expanding the global footprint of InfraHedge, State Street’s USD15 billion managed account platform.
In this newly created role, Datson will be based in London and will report to George Sullivan, global head of Alternative Investment Solutions at State Street.
