Multi-asset class investment manager PineBridge Investments has appointed Anik Sen as Global Head of Equities, effective immediately.  Sen is responsible for managing the firm's global equities business with USD21.2 billion in assets under management as of 31 December, 2014. Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Stephanie Ouwendijk as a vice president and portfolio manager.   Ouwendijk joined Franklin Templeton on 16 February 2015, as part of its Emerging Markets Debt Opportunities team which sits within the Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group. She is based in London and reports to William Ledward, senior vice president and portfolio manager, who leads the Emerging Markets Debt Opportunities team. Alternative asset manager and investment adviser, Absolute Return Partners (ARP) has strengthened its research team with the appointment of Alison Major Lépine as investment manager.  Reporting to Nick Rees, managing partner, she will start at ARP’s Richmond offices on 9 March.   Lépine joins ARP after spending almost 10 years as an investment manager at Railpen Investments, the GBP18bn industry-wide Railways Pension Scheme. During this time she was responsible for the Scheme's hedge fund investments, as well as managing and researching other strategies. Millennium Trust Company, a provider of alternative asset custody solutions to institutions, advisors and individuals, has made two promotions within its Alternative Solutions Group.  The firm has named Jeremy Christensen, Director of Private Fund Custody and Matt Nitschke, National Director of the Alternative Solutions Group. Prior to his new role, Christensen had been acting manager of Private Fund Custody (PFC), Millennium Trust's fastest growing business line. Investec Investment Bank & Securities (IIBS) has appointed Paul Locke and Darren Vickers, to its C closed-end fund team. Locke is a Senior Investment Funds Analyst with over 18 years’ experience across a wide range of products within the closed-end fund and investment trust market. Initially a country risk analyst with Dun & Bradstreet, Paul started his City career with Panmure Gordon before spending extended periods at both HSBC and Canaccord Genuity.   Vickers joins Investec from Westhouse Securities. He has completed a significant number of transactions, including IPOs and secondary fundraisings, at both Westhouse and previously Charles Stanley Securities.

Man GLG, the discretionary investment management business of Man Group (Man), has appointed Himanshu Gulati as Head of US Distressed Credit, based in New York. Gulati, who joins from Perry Capital, the US hedge fund business, will manage a new distressed investment strategy which Man GLG plans to launch later this year.   Gulati, a specialist in distressed and special situations investing, joins Man GLG after almost nine years at Perry Capital where he was a Managing Partner responsible for Distressed Credit and Special Situations investments.
