BlueBay Asset Management, a manager of fixed income and alternative investments, has appointed Jana Velebova as a Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Emerging Markets Sovereign Team.
Jana has spent the past nine years managing active long-only and absolute return emerging market sovereign fixed income and currency portfolios. She began her fund management career at Threadneedle, before moving to Rogge Global Partners in 2010, where she became a Partner. Working both in London and Singapore, she was responsible for emerging market assets across a variety of active global fixed income portfolios.

Civitas Capital Group has appointed David Perel to the newly created position of President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Perel, who was previously a Managing Director of Civitas Alternative Investments and President of Juno Development (both Civitas affiliates), will oversee the general management of the firm and its operating divisions.
Perel will continue to serve on Civitas' executive and investment committees, and will report to Daniel J Healy, Chief Executive Officer. He will also continue to be involved in the development and financing of lodging investments for the firm.

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) has appointed Nick Gionfriddo as Head of OTC Clearing Sales, North America within its Newedge prime services business.
Gionfriddo will be based in New York and will work closely with Jamie Gavin, who was recently appointed Head of Institutional OTC Clearing Sales, UK. He will report to Adam Cohen, Global Head of Institutional Sales.
Gionfriddo joins from CME Group where he was a Senior Director on the OTC Products team, providing services across rates, credit and FX to institutional clients. He has more than 11 years of derivatives clearing experience
Gramercy Funds Management has appointed Sarah Glendon to the new position of Senior Vice President, Sovereign Economist.
Glendon's emerging markets sovereign risk expertise will enhance Gramercy's ability to identify and interpret global market trends and movements, as well as their underlying influencing factors. Her addition brings the credit research team to 15 analysts.

Amundi has appointed Benedicte Rabier as Senior Product Specialist, Amundi Alternative Investments, based in the firm’s London office.
Rabier will help to drive the development of Amundi’s alternative investment solutions notably for the UK market including relationships with local consultants. She reports to Michael Hart, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Amundi Alternative Investments, who also recently joined the Group in London.

Castle Harbour Securities has appointed Eric Daniel, the former Head of Equity Derivatives and Convertible Bond Sales at Citigroup in Paris, to co-manage its new global convertible bond fund.
He will run the Castle Harbour R&D – Pure Global Convertibles Fund with Damien Regnier, previously Portfolio Manager for global convertible bonds at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, who joined Castle Harbour Securities in October.

LNG Capital has appointed Holly Grainger as Co-Manager of its flagship LNG Europa Credit Fund. She will run the fund alongside LNG Capital’s CEO & Founder Louis Gargour.
Grainger joined the firm in February 2014 and has over 15 years of investment experience, in both the corporate credit & equity markets, having previously held senior investment management positions at Baring Asset Management, Aviva Investors and F&C Asset Management. Grainger has a BA in French and German from the University of Exeter, holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Neil Clifford joins Carne from Irish Life Investment Managers where he was Head of Alternatives and oversaw an external hedge funds portfolio. He has also supervised ILIM’s illiquid investments in private equity and infrastructure, including acting as an independent director on a number of investee companies.
