Chi-X Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of alternative trading venue operator Chi-X Global, has announced that Peter Fowler will step down as chief executive in early 2013.
He will, however, continue in his role as a director on the board of Chi-X Australia.
Chi-X Global is currently undertaking a global search and evaluation process for a successor, who is expected to be in place before Fowler’s (pictured) departure.

Eamonn McConnell and John H Walker have joined Kensington Capital Partners as managing directors.
McConnell has lead responsibility for the Kensington Hedge Fund, while Walker leads Kensington’s infrastructure business.
Together with current Kensington managing directors Tom Kennedy and Rick Nathan, McConnell and Walker serve on the Kensington Investment Committee responsible for all investment decisions of the Kensington Funds.

Ben Eaton has joined Goodwin Procter as a partner in the firm’s London office.
Eaton (pictured) comes to Goodwin from Allen & Overy in London.

The London Metal Exchange (LME) has appointed Adrian Farnham as the chief operating officer for LME Clear.
Farnham (pictured) joined Turquoise Global in 2007 as chief operating officer and became chief executive officer in 2010. He was instrumental in the market launch of Turquoise, working with Cinnober Technology on the initial implementation of the platform. In 2011 he led the platform expansion into derivatives.
Prior to Turquoise, Farnham worked as an executive director of operations at Morgan Stanley for 13 years.

Andrew Beckman has joined Magnetar Capital to lead a new event credit team, working within Magnetar’s global event driven strategies business.
Beckman, who will be based in New York, will report directly to Alec Litowitz, Magnetar chief executive, founder and head of global event driven strategies.

Patrick Goebel has joined international law firm Dechert’s financial services and investment management group as a partner in Luxembourg.
Goebel was previously with Allen & Overy.

Brian T Daly has joined Schulte Roth & Zabel as a partner in the firm’s investment management and regulatory and compliance groups.
Resident in the firm’s New York office, Daly concentrates on advising hedge and private equity fund managers on regulatory, compliance and operational matters, including registration and disclosure obligations, trading issues, advertising and marketing, and the establishment of compliance programmes.
Daly joins the firm after nearly a decade serving in-house as general counsel and chief compliance officer at several prominent hedge fund firms. He most recently was with Kepos Capital, which he joined in early 2010 as a
Reech AiM Group, an asset management group specialising in real estate and managed futures, has appointed Gary Sher as finance director and Adam Mincer as head of operations and technology.
Both will be based in London and report directly to Christophe Reech (pictured), chairman and chief executive, Reech AiM Group.
Sher will take on the existing finance function, and will also assist the CEO on the implementation of the new group strategy, including the incorporation of new teams, structures and investment vehicles. He joins Reech from East West Resources (formerly Ambrian Capital) and previously worked at Deutsche Bank.
