Pivot, a provider of liquidity management and collaboration software to the financial markets, has appointed Steve Reich as managing director product management and business development.
Reich previously held senior trading positions at Wall Street banks and has served in senior management roles at a number of financial technology firms.

Law firm Dechert has added Wolfgang Kissner to its financial services and investment management group as a national partner in Munich.
Prior to joining Dechert, Kissner worked as a structurer and platform specialist for an investment bank in Paris, and before that in the legal department of an investment bank in London.
He started his career at two law firms in Munich and Frankfurt from 2002 to 2007, and is qualified both as Rechtsanwalt in Germany and as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Walkers, the legal and management services provider, says it will be creating a significant number of jobs in Ireland as the firm further expands its Dublin office which opened in October.
Approximately 25 new positions will be created by the end of 2010, rising to around 50 new jobs by the end of 2011.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Jay Fraser as a managing director and head of Autobahn equity execution and head of Autobahn equity sales in the Americas.
He is based in New York, reporting to Jose Marques, managing director and global head of equity electronic trading, and Brian Dugan, managing director and head of equity execution sales in the Americas.
Fraser joins the bank with over 19 years of financial technology and execution experience. Most recently, Fraser led institutional electronic execution sales and product development at Citadel. Prior to that, he was head of international sales at Investment Technology Group.

Insparo Asset Management has added Merihan Tadrous to its operations team.
As operations analyst, Tadrous will work closely with chief operating officer Jon Laidlow and finance and operations manager James Gore in the day-to-day operations management of the firm’s Africa and Middle East fund.
The Insparo Africa & Middle East Fund makes investments in a range of sectors across the MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.
In her day to day role, Tadrous will be responsible for all operational duties including trade settlement cycle, cash and position reconciliations for Insparo, which offers frontier market investment opportunities through the fund.
Matrix Group, the privately owned UK financial services business, has appointed Paul Bramley as chief operating officer for its asset management division.
Bramley has over 20 years’ experience in financial services, including chief financial officer and chief operating officer roles in investment banking and asset management.
He has significant experience of building out the financial and operational infrastructure for growth businesses.
Bramley qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen and subsequently worked at NatWest Markets, Kidder, Peabody and Merrill Lynch International in senior finance, treasury and operations roles.

Gary Godel, a senior member of staff at the Jersey Financial Services Commission, has joined Comsure Compliance founder Mathew Beale as a senior consultant.
Godel was a director of the JFSC and has worked within the commission since its inception in 1998.
He also worked in its predecessor states department from 1990.
Godel worked with Beale in the funds section of the JFSC for several years where both were responsible for the evolution of the fund regulation that has evolved and led to the FSB Codes of Practice (and forthcoming funds COP) and their application.

Lyxor Asset Management has hired Robert Picard as US head of managed account development.
Picard is based in New York and reports to Lionel Erdely, chief executive of Lyxor US.
Prior to joining Lyxor, Picard was senior adviser to Navigant Consulting’s financial institutions restructuring solutions team and active in advising emerging hedge funds.
Earlier, he was chief investment officer and head of hedge fund research at Optima Fund Management overseeing USD6.5bn of hedge fund investments, and a managing director at The Carlyle Group where he built and managed an institutional platform for alternative investments.
Cheyne Capital Management (UK) has appointed John Hyman as a partner.
Hyman will help Cheyne Capital to further develop its equity business, launch new products and research investment ideas.
