Pickering heads Fulcrum’s Investor Relations Team and has greatly enhanced the firm’s relationships with its clients. Joining in April 2004, she was a day-one member of Fulcrum, having previously worked alongside other founding members at Goldman Sachs. She is a CFA Charterholder.

Acri previously served for ten years as Managing Director, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of hedge fund adviser Sovarnum Capital LP. Earlier in his career, he was an associate in Willkie’s Asset Management Department.

The Hedge Fund Association (HFA), an international nonprofit trade and nonpartisan lobbying organisation, has announced the results of its 2022 Global Board of Directors election.
HFA members re-elected Rajpal Arulpragasam, and elected Jagruti Bhikha, Deloris Dunk Vickers, Thejas Nalval and Richard Westmark. HFA Global Board members are all industry executives that serve for up to two consecutive three-year terms.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) Board of Directors has appointed Francis (Frank) La Salla, currently Chief Executive Officer of BNY Mellon’s Issuer Services business and a member of the BNY Mellon Executive Committee, as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective 12 August.
La Salla’s appointment as CEO reflects the Board’s long-term succession planning and rigorous search process with the scheduled retirement of Michael C Bodson, who has served as DTCC’s CEO since July 2012.
La Salla will also serve as President and CEO of DTCC’s principal operating subsidiaries, The Depository Trust Company (DTC),
Trading Technologies International (TT), a global provider of high-performance professional trading software, infrastructure and data solutions, has appointed industry veteran Nick Garrow to the the new position of EVP Multi-Asset & Buy Side.
Garrow has more than 20 years of senior management experience in capital markets and prime brokerage, leading significant global technological and operational transformation of businesses ranging from a tier-1 bank, to brokerage and clearing firms, to an exchange and fintech company.

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) has promoted Gaone Dube from Chief Analyst to Deputy Head Investments Supervision Division, effective 1 January 2022.
Dube is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holding the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants designation. Additionally, she is a member of several organisations including the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and 100 Women in Finance.
Dube has over 19 years of experience in the Cayman Islands’ financial services industry. Prior to joining CIMA in 2018, she held a position at an audit firm before becoming the Deputy Head of the Fund Division at a leading fund administrator.
Piper Sandler Companies has made several key hired for its fixed income platform including the appointment of Andrew Deming as a managing director in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Deming joins the team with nearly 20 years of public finance, financial structuring and real estate experience.
Prior to joining the specialty finance team at Piper Sandler, Deming worked as a managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle in the firm’s capital markets group.

LiquidityBook, a provider of cloud-native buy- and sell-side trading solutions, has appointed Bryon Cole as Director of Buy-Side Sales.
He will be based in the firm’s New York office and report directly to Head of Global Buy-Side Sales James Baxter.
Cole will be responsible for driving the continued expansion of LiquidityBook’s buy-side client base as the firm pursues its global growth strategy. He will also play an instrumental role in expanding the functionality of LBX Buy-Side, LiquidityBook’s cloud-based POEMS (portfolio, order and execution management system).
Kirchliche Zusatzversorgungskasse des Verbandes der Diözesen Deutschlands (KZVK), the occupation pension scheme provider for Catholic Church and charitable sector employees in Germany, is looking to appoint a portfolio manager to focus on alternative investments, according to a report by IPE.
The new portfolio manager will have responsibility for investments in private equity, infrastructure equity and private debt, plus due diligence of new funds.
Two more managing directors are leaving Blackstone’s hedge fund solutions group according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites unnamed sources for the news that New York-based Tej Arora and Katherine Chan, both MDs in Blacstone Alternative Management’s special situations investing group, have resigned.
Arora previously held roles at Roystone Capital Management, ADK Capital, One East Partners and Luxor Capital Group, while Chan previously held positions at Millennium Management and Anandar Capital Management.
