PineBridge Investments (PineBridge), a private, global asset manager focused on active, high-conviction investing, has hired Kirk Sweeney as Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Sweeney will be responsible for PineBridge’s Asia Pacific business and will join the firm’s Management Committee. He will report directly to PineBridge’s CEO, Greg Ehret, who is based in New York. Fasanara Capital has made two significant additions to thitse team to strengthen deal origination and support the launch of its new Fintech-focused Venture Capital Fund. The first addition is Raj Dutta, who has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer.  Dutta joins Fasanara having spent the majority of the last twenty years in various head of marketing and investor relations roles at institutional hedge funds and fund of hedge funds. Bridge Alternative Investment Solutions (Bridge Alternatives), an outsourced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO) business focused on meeting the institutional needs of investment management firms, has made five senior appointments to scale with client demands. Shane Bates MBA and Nick Gilliam MBA, join as Partners, coming from leading global fund administrators, Apex Group, and SS&C Technologies, respectively.   Adam Whitmore, formerly of State Street Corporation, joins as Chief Financial Officer, and expands the Group’s footprint to Atlanta, Georgia.   While Seth Ferguson and David Haire join as Directors, from regional public accounting firms and real estate ventures.
Horizon Software, a specialist in market making and algo trading technology, has appointed Fabrice Astrologi as Global Head of Client Management.  With extensive experience in streamlining processes and optimising operations, Fabrice Astrologi will be responsible for continuing to drive global revenue growth.   In his new global role, Astrologi will take charge across regional teams to enhance the company’s strong commitment to its customer base, overseeing customer and vendor relations, as well as the company’s support offerings.  
Avi Felman has been appointed as a general partner of GoldenChain, a new wholly owned subsidiary of GoldenTree Asset Management which will manage the firm’s digital assets funds, accoding to a report by AlternativesWatch. Felman, who reports to partner and executive committee member Joe Naggar, will also be a principal at the USD47 billion firm. Proper to joining GoldenChain, Felman was co-portfolio manager and head of trading for BlockTower Capital, which manages capital for leading LPs including Union Square Ventures, Marc Lasry the founder of Avenue Capital, and Howard Morgan the co-founder of Renaissance Technologies and First Round Capital.  
Candriam, a global multi-asset manager focused on sustainable and responsible investing, has appointed Jörg Allenspach as Global Head of Private Assets Distribution, in addition to his current role as Head of Candriam Switzerland. This appointment reflects Candriam’s continued expansion and commitment to providing clients with alternatives and illiquid private markets investment opportunities.  In this newly created role, Allenspach will be responsible for accelerating the development of Candriam’s global offering and providing clients with a full suite of private asset investment solutions, including real estate, private equity and private debt.  
Robeco has appointed Harald Lohre as Executive Director Quant Equity Research. In this newly created position, Lohre will strengthen Robeco’s Quant Investing leadership and supervise its research efforts to further enhance the firm’s Quant Equity strategies. He will also remain an Honorary Researcher at the Department of Accounting and Finance of Lancaster University Management School, coordinating the PhD research projects between Robeco and Lancaster University.  Lohre reports to Weili Zhou, Head of Robeco’s Quant Equity Research team.   Lohre joins Robeco from Invesco Quantitative Strategies, where he was Director of Research and a member of the global management team. Fixed-income, relative value hedge fund manager Mariner Investment Group, has appointed Edward G “EG” Fisher as its sole Chief Investment Officer (CIO), with effect from 30 June, according to a report by Pension & Investments. Fisher, an existing partner and head of liquid-market strategies, currently serves as co-CIO alongside William J Michaelcheck, a partner and the firm’s founder, who is staying on as vice chairman. Michaelcheck will also remain on the firm’s investment oversight, executive, management and risk committees. Mariner managed USD6 billion as of Jan. 31 in its flagship fixed-income relative-value strategy and other strategies.
